  Clean, well-maintained and lots of grass

  We stopped for a Sonic treat and we’re thrilled to find this small dog park next to it. It’s very well maintained, lighted and full of soft grass. It doesn’t currently have have water, but it looks like they’re planning to. Wonderful break for the pups.

  FANTASTIC dog park!

  Folks, if you travel I-70 across Kansas, you know how mind-numbing it can be. Well, 255 miles from Denver, and 288 miles before Topeka, there's the town of Oakley. In Oakley, you'll find the TA Western KS Wildlife Travel Center. Next to the main building is a Sonic. (Good food, friendly staff. Get the app!)

  But the reason to stop at this Sonic is the adorable little dog park .Small, yeah, but beautiful grass, enough room to play a little fetch, and water for the doggos.

  In a road trip where too many dog parks are fenced in dirt, this was a breath of fresh air.

  Wonderful!

  It’s a small but well-kept off-leash area where your baby can get relief (supplied pickup bags and a dedicated trash) and stretch their legs. You can enjoy a treat from a Sonic with drive through as well as stall service.
