  Friendly staff and dog friendly

  After getting rejected from Charters House, we walked down the road and stumbled on cafe Maspero. They were happy to allow our French bulldog and said all dogs have to sit at their French door windows. It sort of leads onto the walking path so if it’s busy expect people trying to pat your dog and coo at them. We brought a small blanket for our dog to sit on as the floors were a bit dirty and cold. The food was great and the service even better. Lovely staff and good cocktails :)

  Extremely dog friendly.

  We were a little dismissed at first as staff were talking amongst themselves, once we were adamant and went back to see if dog friendly, they were great! There was one waitress(didn't catch her name) who made the whole experience memorable. Was extremely friendly & even gave our dog some bacon which was a serious treat! Highly recommend food was great also!

  Dog Friendly and Great Food

  We asked the hostess if they allowed dogs and she said yes, but they had to find an empty table by the French doors as the dog had to be in the doorway. They promptly had a table and opened the doors, so Gunnar was inside and air conditioned. The food was great and Gunnar gave the grilled chicken 5 stars.

  Very accommodating

  We arrived at Café Maspero during one of NOLA’s legendary rainstorms. It’s situated in a beautiful old building. We put the dog under an indoor table and she was happy as a clam. The service was outstanding, warm, and friendly. The prices were reasonable. We recommend Café Maspero.

  Great Location!

  I asked the hostess if they were pet friendly. She replied of course as long as they stay under the table. Great food, friendly staff, my dog loved watching people walking by.

  Very dog friendly

  The restaurant is indoors but pretty open-air, and dogs are allowed inside! The hostess brought my dog ice water and loved on her while we were waiting to be served.
