  Fabulous location for dinner and drinks!

  Super nice place, people and food. We traveled back to Texas from Utah yesterday and today. Last night, we stop for the night in Tucumcari in New Mexico about 20 min from the Texas border. We decided to go to Del’s for dinner as they have a nice patio. I checked with the hostess and told her that we were 2 adults and 2 dogs. She grabbed the menus and I thought a cocktail menu. I was wrong, the “cocktail menu” was actually a dog menu. I have never been to a restaurant that fed humans and dogs. What a great idea! 😄

  Great Dog-Friendly Place

  It was a little chilly but very nice waitress helped us on the patio. The humans in our party loved the food and loved the beer choices. Georgie ordered chicken and rice off of the dog menu and loved it.

  Delicious menu for humans and dogs! Yes, they have their own menu that includes a dessert option, a fresh iced bowl of water. Hands down, one of our FAVORITE places!

  Great find!

  Found this restaurant on BringFido and sought it out based on reviews, both for the dog-friendly welcome and also for the menu. Excellent! My pot roast was so yummy and perfect comfort food, my husband had delightful enchiladas and our dog super-enjoyed her chicken and rice from the dog menu. all staff were wonderful, friendly, and engaging. Our server, Kaylin, was extremely attentive despite 100 degree temp. plenty of big umbrellas to offer a nice shady patio (and cushions on the picnic table bench would have been a nice bonus)

  Great experience

  Dogs allowed on the front patio, they brought us a dog bowl of water and ice as soon as we were seated and a dog menu with ours! Service was good, they were very busy on a Saturday night so a little slower, but our waitress was great and running as fast as she could. Food was really good, my husband had steak and I had a Mexican food plate. Close to the highway exit if you are traveling through.

  What an experience on Route 66!!!

  after being told on the phone that there were no servers for the patio, we traveled to Del’s anyway thinking we’d have to order food as takeout and eat it outside or take to our hotel. instead a super friendly and helpful waitress took care of us and our 🐶🐶 on the patio and was one of the best servers we’ve had anywhere!!! and they actually have a DOG MENU so our two small dogs shared an order of chicken and rice and leaned their plates. The food and the service were amazing. highly recommended

  Great food and place to make a stop with our doggie!

  Our Doggie Diamond enjoyed being in a trip with us, and being pampered with fresh water at Del’s Restaurant over Route 66!

  Nice stop on Route 66!

  We had some really good Mexican food. I had a chicken and cheese stuffed sopapilla and my husband had tacos. They even have a menu for dogs! Mickey got ice water and lots of pets! Tables were shaded. An old Route 66 restaurant.
