    It was ok

They weren’t very friendly or dog friendly like you would hope. Well at least our server wasn’t and I think it left a bad taste in our mouth. Compared to other restaurants that said they were dog friendly this was the worst.

    Disappointing German meal

The porch patio is pet friendly, but doesn't offer much shade. The bowl of water for Jake was a plastic 'to go' container and the waiter wasn't very welcoming. Another waiter, however, did come over and make friends with Jake! The meal was a disappointment, especially for the price. They were out of the meal we wanted and all dark beer. Definitely a 'one and done' for us.

    Great patio, food, and service

We had a great experience here! We took our dog and ate a wonderful German meal on the patio. The service was great and they gave attention to our dog and even brought her a bowl of water. Highly recommend!

    No service for patio

we stopped by and wanted to get breakfast with our pup before we hit the road. The server said no service in the patio because he is the only person and it’s cold outside (50 and big sunshine). Also, there was only 1 family eating inside. so we left.

Great deck with authentic German menu

If you are looking for a different type of food while on vacation, this place has great German food on its menu. It’s also very easy to accommodate your dog as there is a large deck out front with several tables including some with umbrellas for shade. The staff was very friendly and interacted nicely with our pup!

    Great good!

We discovered this restaurant thanks to BringFido, and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent, the food was good and far more than we could finish eating. We sat on the covered porch, and our server brought water for Tasia. We will definitely visit again!

    Like this place!

Found Wild Bear on this site and decided to try it. They have a very large 2 level deck with plenty of seating. The upper area is covered. It was chilly out there, so our waitress got permission for us to eat inside! That was greatly appreciated! She brought out a bowl of sausage for our pup on the house! Hubby ordered the purple cabbage, German potato salad, and the pot roast. I ordered the jaegar schnitzel with purple cabbage and German potato salad. His roast beef was good but neither of us liked the cabbage or potato salad. My schnitzel was dry without the gravy. But we’ll go back and try something different.

nice patio + amazing food? yes please!

The food here was A-MA-ZING! The outdooor patio was very nice/ great furniture. At first was taken back by the restaurant being connected to a hotel. Servers were nice and gave the pups water. You have to get their pretzel.

    Excellent!

Raised patio that has ramps for the disabled. A great spot to watch the crazy traffic. Staff is very accommodating, and brings out fresh water for your pup.

    Wonderful Food & Friendly Staff

We recently visited Wild Bear Tavern with our pup while vacationing in Pigeon Forge. So happy to find this little gem of a place. Plenty of room on outside patio and the food was AMAZING!! They brought a water bowl for our pup ~ and of course I shared my scrumptious pancakes with him! We will definitely visit again!

    Amazing

Water for the dog as soon as we sat. A great outside area. Covered and umbrellas. The food is very authentic and who else would offer you appetizers with breakfast. My kind of people. The biscuits and gravy was very good. The pancakes are huge. But the top item was the potato pancakes. Great experience.

    Awesome Place for Dinner!

This tavern is attached to the Wild Bear Inn, just before you leave Pigeon Forge for Gatlinburg. We came early and brought our lab with us. There is a patio area where you are welcome to bring your dog to sit with you. They were very short staffed, but our server, Bill, was so attentive and did a great job of serving everyone. He brought us water for our dog, and gave her lots of attention.

The food is plentiful! Huge servings of mainly German dishes, wish some American orders thrown in for those who were unsure. We had plenty to eat and ended up bringing a lot home for later. We will definitely be back to this restaurant!

    Great spot!

This spot is a little farther down the main road but is definitely worth it! The bar tender was supper helpful and we enjoyed some delicious German draft along with our dinner. Dinner had some of the best schnitzel & bratwurst ever! The staff had great service, personally, and loved our puppy!! The outside eating has umbrellas and clean outside tables. The only caution is the parking area is a bit steep, but since it is the mountains it is understandable. Overall worth a visit if you enjoy German food!

    Great Food/Hospitality

The food was excellent and service was great. There was no fuss over our 85lbs Malamute. A must visit with your four-legged companion!

    Excellent!

Delicious German food! Stopped there for lunch on a whim, and our dog was welcome on the patio. The food was excellent! A nice change from standard fare in most other places. Our Teddie enjoyed it too!
