Greyhound Lover!

This is one of our favorite places to take our greyhound for sundaes (for both the humans and the hound). It has a great covered porch that is perfect to get sun or shade depending on what you are looking for while you enjoy a delicious sweet treat. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming!

This location was close to the shops and restaurants on the River Walk. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but it was cramped with a greyhound (barely room next to the bed for her larger dog bed). I understand that city hotel rooms are often smaller, but it was a bit annoying to have to climb over the dog every time I got out of my side of the bed. The staff were all friendly to my pup, but there were no special amenities extended, not even a welcome biscuit. At $75 per night for a pet fee, I would have expected a little more. You also have to use valet parking for an extra fee, and it took them 30 minutes to find our car upon checkout.

We loved our stay at the Damy cottage right next to the vineyard with stunning mountain views. The decor is fresh and modern with a “cottage-y” feel, and it is well stocked with anything you might need in the kitchen and bathroom. The relaxing front porch with a porch swing included overlooks the winery tasting room with the mountains in the distance behind more vineyards. The staff were very welcoming to us and our pup and allowed us to taste wines with her right beside us in the Pavilion and outside on the beautiful grounds. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting of unique wines and meads from around the world, all while seated in comfy antique inspired furniture with matching decor. They were very welcoming of our greyhound who appreciated getting out of the sun for a bit. It was nice to relax and get out of the hustle and bustle of shopping for a bit while enjoying good drinks!

We stumbled upon this place by accident and quickly added it to BringFido so others would know about this little gem of a cafe! The breakfast was wonderful and the atmosphere of the place was so enjoyable to us and our greyhound. There were three different seating options for us: outside tables under a covered roof, tables outside in a lovely back garden area or on a screened in back porch area (which we chose). The staff were kind and very dog-friendly. We really enjoyed this place!

We brought our greyhound for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the evening atmosphere under the lights on the large patio. Our pup was welcomed with a bowl of water and a dog menu. We had a wonderful dinner (Salmon Rockefeller was delicious!), and the hound loved her burger patty with broccoli. They gave her such a large portion that we took leftovers home for her breakfast and dinner the next day as toppers on her regular food. Highly recommend!

Easy place to grab a bite to eat in Coligny Plaza with your pup on their spacious semi-covered patio.

One of the few “on the beach” hotels in Hilton Head and it’s dog-friendly, too! Great location with easy access to the beach and to the “downtown“ of Hilton Head, Coligny Plaza, which is right across the street. Nice, spacious rooms with a very comfortable bed. Only gave this 4 out of 5 stars due to the somewhat annoying key bracelet system that is very finicky on most entry doors to the hotel.

We sat out in the spacious front patio with our greyhound on a warm fall evening, but still enjoyed the heaters that were provided. (Note: you are placed on large-sized gravel, so bring a blanket or bed if your dog is bothered by this). Loved the quaint colonial-feel inside and out. Our meals were delicious, and our pup absolutely loved the beef tips that we ordered for her from the Puppers Supper Menu. Highly recommend this place!

This is a great restaurant with a large outdoor covered patio area on a lovely shaded street. They have an indoor-outdoor bar with an additional outdoor bar as well. The menu features some lighter Italian dishes with other fare as well. The staff was so dog-friendly, offering a bowl of water and even gave our pup a “doggie” meatball to eat. That was her favorite part of the visit!!

Delicious small and big bite items along with pre-made or custom made cider flights are available at this easily accessible “off-the-beaten-path” cider house. There are several outdoor dog-friendly locations to enjoy your tasting and/or meal. They also have a nice small shop inside with locally-sourced grocery items. Well worth the visit!

This small family winery makes excellent wines due to their hands-on approach. They give a wonderful tasting with lots of shared knowledge about the wine-making experience. They are very dog-friendly in both the smaller tasting room and larger event space or at outside locations. Very much worth a stop when you are in the Finger Lakes!

We brought a large group of greyhounds on this scenic ride of Seneca Lake as part of our annual Grapehounds greyhound gathering. This was a wonderful experience! The air-conditioned lower deck room is carpeted with folding chairs that allowed us to easily make room for our pups. The staff were extremely dog-friendly and accommodating!! We highly recommend Capt. Bill’s to enjoy wonderful views of the lake along with interesting information that is provided along the way!!

Spacious and comfortable hotel suite with dog-friendly staff throughout. Easy access to grassy areas with dog-waste collection stations in several areas. You also get to enjoy up close views of the Mohawk River! The rooms are carpeted, which our greyhound appreciated since slippery floors can be a challenge. Would recommend a stay here!

The staff are always so friendly. Dogs are allowed inside and out! Great, spacious deck with 20+ local beers on tap, wine from local wineries and a large selection of bourbon & whiskey.

The staff member was so welcoming when we came into the store with our very own "Black Dog" greyhound! She was immediately offered water and a treat. As we did our shopping, we received a few more treats, which made this a favorite stop for our pup!

We brought our greyhound during mid-April when the town was just starting to wake up for the season, so we were able to enjoy a quiet, relaxing time without any crowds. Everyone was very friendly and welcomed our pup, with dog treats always readily available at the front desk. The two room suite was spacious, very nicely decorated, with comfortable furniture. We were on the first floor with sliding glass doors out onto a patio next to the harbor docks. It was so relaxing to be right on the water! We went to the on property restaurant twice (breakfast and dinner), and the food was delicious both times. Highly recommend a stay here!

We had a wonderful dog-friendly experience in this brand new shop. The owner’s husband and son did a fantastic job explaining the different flavors and even let us sample a few bonbons before we made our purchase. They discussed the possibility of making dog-friendly carob treats in the future. Either way, the “human-treats” were well worth the stop!

Even though dogs aren’t allowed inside the buildings, this is still a great place to visit. The grounds are well kept, the staff was very dog friendly (offered a treat and a bowl of water to our greyhound), and there was a lot of great maritime information! It’s best to go with a partner so you can take turns going inside the buildings to get the full experience. FYI - you are allowed to take the dogs into the ticket area of the welcome center to purchase the tickets for your visit.

We enjoyed our meals a lot and the staff were very attentive to our needs as we sat on the patio with our greyhound. They had no problem with us moving tables to get out of the wind and even turned the patio heater on for us as it was a cool evening. They checked on us often even though we were the only ones sitting on the patio. We had a great experience!

A fantastic place for a spa getaway with your pup along for the stay. The staff are so dog friendly and your pup is welcome everywhere on property except the spa, restaurant and pool. Lots of space inside the resort with long hallways and lounges and many outdoor walking trails to explore outside!

This lodge-style farm distillery is a hidden gem near Keuka Lake. They are super dog-friendly inside a cabin atmosphere or outside on the expansive (uncovered) deck surrounded by Adirondack looking woods. They serve a variety of delicious craft-cocktails, local wines & beers, and soft drinks. They have recently added tasty handmade pizzas. Your pup will be happy to receive a biscuit from behind the bar! (Be aware, there is a cat on premises named Jimbo, who was friendly to our greyhound but may be wary of more excitable dogs!)

So dog friendly! Dogs are allowed inside and out, and the staff quickly offers water bowls and treats. Worth a stop to this lovely winery!

We really enjoy bringing our pup to the spacious covered patio, especially when they have live music available during our visit. They have great charcuterie boards, cocktails, wines and beers. Worth a stop!

Dog friendly inside and out. Great covered porch with a lovely view. Highly recommend you stop if you enjoy Finger Lakes wines!

This resort is super dog friendly and this bistro is the restaurant attached to it. Gourmet-style classics with up-scale cocktails. Outside seating with a covered porch for the pups including a “Doggo Menu” with several yummy choices for your dog. Very popular with locals and tourists, so plan ahead.

Deliciously made sandwiches with lots of dog-friendly locations to enjoy them inside or out. Soft drinks, beer and wine also available with your meal.

You used to be able to go inside with the dogs, but can’t anymore. That being said, it’s very dog-friendly outside. Beautiful view can’t be beat!!

Located just off the main street that runs through Watkins Glen- makes it an easy location to access with easy parking. Very dog-friendly staff who offered water right away. American style pub food with a feature of fresh seafood items seafood that the owners get directly from Massachusetts. Worth a stop with your pup!

We enjoyed the wines from this family-run winery outside on a spacious patio while horses grazed in the yard beside us! The staff were gracious and checked on us to see if our greyhound needed anything. We later found out that the horses were part of a nearby farm that offers rides followed by some wine-tasting. We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and great wines!

We had a wonderful stroll with our greyhound through the grounds around the mansion. It was great to see the different trees and just enjoy nature in such a serene location. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our meal. Great food with a dog-friendly patio. Nice to have the option to get fancier food while out with our hound. Highly recommended!

The staff and patrons are so friendly! The dogs are allowed inside which is such a great find. The wines are great Virginia wines. Definitely recommend!

This is a fantastic place to come if you enjoy nature trails that also teach you while you stroll. Very dog-friendly (they even supplied a water bowl by the restrooms)!

We loved sitting outside with a beautiful view of the vineyards while enjoying a glass of wine with our greyhound by our side. You can’t take dogs in the tasting barn or on the deck, but there is plenty of outside seating in the lawn area. The staff sent our pup a treat when they gave us our wine!

This brewery has many options inside and out to enjoy some drinks and food with your pup. They often have local vendors and music, too. Great place with a fun atmosphere!

On a 50 degree evening during Greyhounds in Gettysburg, the staff were willing to accommodate our greyhound and us on the side deck for drinks and dinner. They even offered a chicken breast or beef patty option for the pups! The service was great and our server couldn’t have been friendlier.

Dogs are welcome inside and out by a very friendly staff. Both offer gorgeous views of Keuka Lake. This winery stands out in the Finger Lakes region as having a true French flavor, as it is owned by a married couple who are both from France. Enjoy a tasting or a glass paired with a charcuterie board or other small treats.

Massive outdoor space in the middle of farmland. A variety of beers and ciders on tap. The staff was very friendly to humans and pups, alike!

Incredibly interesting, free (consider a donation) and very dog-friendly! Stairs are accessible with your dog, but an elevator is available, if needed. The staff is very knowledgeable.

One of the very early Finger Lakes farm wineries from the 1970s. Still small, so you get an intimate guided tasting. During the winter months, you are inside sitting on benches or rocking chairs beside a fire in a fireplace while your guide gives you the history of the selection of sweet or dry wines. They were very dog- friendly and offered treats to our greyhound several time!

We have had our annual greyhound gathering at the Gould for the past two years. We love how accommodating they are. Thanks for hosting us!

Dogs are allowed inside and out while their owners taste several delicious cheeses! Well worth a stop.

A good variety of wines - stop in if you’re looking for a unique variety of wine that you don’t find everywhere else. The staff was super friendly to our greyhound! They also have a brewery on property during the seasonal months.

We really enjoy visiting Toast winery during our Grapehound and Winter Hounds events. The staff is always so friendly! We appreciate them welcoming us each year!

This is one of our go-to places to get a yummy bite to eat during our annual Winter Hounds and Grapehounds events with our greyhound. The staff is very friendly!

We enjoyed a tasting flight from their large menu of wines and spirits. They were very dog friendly and welcomed our greyhound wherever we wanted to sit. They even have a large treat container for their four-legged guests!

What a fun place to visit for a delicious walk down memory lane! If you are in the mood for some candy from your childhood or some homemade chocolate confections, make sure to stop by this dog-friendly candy store in downtown Penn Yan.

We love the atmosphere at this small, family- run winery with fantastic views of Keuka Lake. They are very welcoming of dogs inside and out. Nice charcuterie board to go along with your wine tasting. Be sure to treat yourself and get the locally- made chocolate.

GRtB is a great event to attend for greyhounds and their families. Having it at the convention center in Rehoboth is so convenient. The whole area is so dog-friendly and Columbus Day weekend is a great long weekend to have it. We absolutely love coming here!

When we come to the Greyhounds Reach the Beach event each year, we make sure to stop for grouper fingers at Zogg’s! We love the beach bar atmosphere and how friendly the staff is towards our dog. This year, they even offered a “chicken entree” ($4) to our hound, which she loved!

This is our favorite place to visit on our annual Greyhounds Reach the Beach trip. They have a fun menu and the mojitos are great to enjoy in this beach vibe atmosphere. It’s biergarten in the back is the hidden gem of Rehoboth Beach!

We enjoyed our overnight stay with our greyhound. We were given a room on the first floor at the end of the hall by a side door. Easy access to outside grounds. There are plenty of grassy areas with a nice paved walking path on a hilly area next to the hotel.

Although you can’t take your dog inside the buildings for a wine tasting or into the cafe for food, there are plenty of options outside. There is a covered porch on the front of the cafe, two back patios and seating in the side yard. You can also enjoy a nice glass of wine in an outside patio area off the tasting room. The food and bakery items are all made in house, and they are delicious!

The minute we walked through the gate to the spacious canal side patio, the staff was giving our greyhound a huge bowl of fresh water and several different flavored biscuits. We enjoyed glasses of fine wines and a delicious charcuterie board while there. Worth a visit.

Gorgeous, park-like outdoor setting with a pub atmosphere in a converted carriage house. Very dog friendly inside and out. They often have music on weekends, and food can be ordered and delivered from their restaurant next door. Eclectic menu selections, great craft beer made on property with local wines and ciders available, too.

We love seeing all of our greyhound friends and enjoying some great wines at dog-friendly wineries each year!

This winery has one of the best views on Seneca Lake and they are very dog-friendly. Enjoy a tasting flight inside or out with your pup.

Enjoy a tasting flight of wine or by the glass with your pup inside or outside on the covered deck or lawn. Local beers and soft drinks with lite food items also available. The staff was very friendly!

Great indoor-outdoor connection between the restaurant and patio. Makes you feel like you are part of the whole place while being a dog-friendly patio. Water bowl was offered right away and our pup loved watching the street traffic through the wrought iron fence. Great people watching directly on the street of this charming, historic lakeside community for us, too!

Our stay during the Grapehounds greyhound gathering has been fantastic. The new cabins have modern amenities and have great views of the lake. The staff are very friendly and dogs are allowed in all areas except inside the bistro and lounge. There is a covered porch if you’d like to get a meal with your pup, though. There are even walking trails around the property. I highly recommend this place!

If you are looking for a great outdoor space with plenty of seating options (high top tables, low tables, couch seating) in a covered pavilion to taste amazing wines, Red Tail Ridge is the place for you and your pup!

The staff is extremely friendly and you can enjoy a tasting inside with your pup. You can also sit outside with a glass or bottle with a gorgeous view of Keuka Lake.

We enjoyed our lunch and drinks at this new dog- friendly brewery. The beer and craft cocktails were great and the food was delicious! The staff was very friendly and brought water right out to our dog on a hot afternoon.

Staff in the stores we went into were very dog-friendly. There are plenty of shady walkways with benches and grassy areas for potty breaks.
We arrived in Gatlinburg on a Sunday and tried to eat here on the first day, Unfortunately, the Tea Room is only open 3 days a week (Thurs., Fri. & Sat.). We waited until Thursday (our last day of vacation) to go, only to find out that advance reservations are needed…and you can’t make same day reservations. Very disappointing.

Fun location for a drink and a meal with your pup on the dog-friendly patio overlooking a family fun-zone!

The staff were very accommodating to us and our greyhound. They brought her a bowl of water to the dog-friendly patio as we enjoyed our beers/ciders, and they checked on us often. The only downside is the location in a plaza.

The staff were very accommodating to our pup and there is a large deck with lots of shady options. Our server brought a big glass of cold water for our greyhound so we could refill her bowl. There was a nice breeze blowing as we sat and ate.

Our greyhound was welcomed into most shops as we strolled along during the evening. Quaint little village shops with a nice variety to choose from.

As soon as I walked in with my greyhound, the person behind the front counter came right over to offer her a treat! This was a fun store with a little bit of everything, especially a good variety of books. Of course, we couldn’t leave without an old fashioned bottled soda and a moon pie (or two)!

This is a large store with plenty to see. Your pup is welcome to explore right along with you.

The staff at Byrd’s welcomed our greyhound in on a hot June day to cool off in the air conditioned store. We were in for a treat as we sampled (and then bought) several of their delicious cookies!

This was a great cabin on top of a mountain with amazing views. However, the pics on BringFido are a bit old, as the trees have grown quite a bit and are in the way of half of the view. Still pretty amazing, though. A few caveats about this place in regards to your pup:
-the floors are all bare wood or laminate and can be slippery for some dogs
- there isn’t much of a spot to use outside for potty needs and you need to be very aware of cars coming from either direction without much warning or room to get off to the side
- the only way to get to the second floor is a spiral staircase (which our greyhound can’t do at all)
- if your dog gets carsick, this may not be the place for you as the only way up and down the mountain is a narrow, winding road which takes about 10 minutes one way
That being said, we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have loved the relaxing vibe being surrounded by nature in this comfortable cabin!

If you are looking for a different type of food while on vacation, this place has great German food on its menu. It’s also very easy to accommodate your dog as there is a large deck out front with several tables including some with umbrellas for shade. The staff was very friendly and interacted nicely with our pup!

This distillery offers an inexpensive ($5) tasting of 13 different moonshine varieties. Your pup can hang out with you anywhere you go!
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this very pet friendly little family run museum. The staff was very knowledgeable and they have designed well laid out interactive museum!

Dogs are welcome out front and out back. You’ll want to make the walk around back (go left through the grass per the staff instructions) to a lovely seating area where dogs are very welcome! Enjoy tasty wines and food with a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We highly recommend the berry cobbler!

This eclectic winery is very dog-friendly, both inside and out. Gorgeous porch views overlooking the valley and vineyards. Be forewarned, there is a dog-friendly winery cat named Muscat, who enjoys hanging out ON the bar!

Fantastic food, great views of the river and extremely dog friendly make for a great combination!

Lots of fun gifts in this store - laughed out loud several times at some of the humorous items. Staff was friendly to us and our greyhound!

My greyhound found several yummy treats and a few fun toys while we enjoyed some yummy smoothies!

Seafood-based menu with Caribbean-inspired items. Two deck options - one covered, one full-sun. Gorgeous views directly on the beach with center of Atlantic Beach activity. We loved our dishes and everyone was very dog-friendly.

Found this dog- friendly bar across the street from our Doubletree hotel, which is also dog-friendly. Casual, friendly atmosphere with lots of craft beer options and a few quality wines.
This is a great State Park to visit (for free!). Great trails to walk on, beach to stroll on and Fort Macon is cool to explore. Dogs are allowed everywhere but inside buildings. Well worth a visit!

Even though you are in a plaza, the owners of this local deli have created a little oasis in the side yard. A turf grass lawn is great for the dog to relax on. Plenty of seating at picnic tables with umbrellas with music softly playing from speakers. A dog waste station is conveniently located on the side of the yard. Large deli menu with delicious food. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our walk on the trails in early April. Easy walking, although there are slight elevation changes and roots to pay attention to. Lots of poop stations with bags and garbage cans. Nice, handicapped accessible bathrooms as well. There is a disc golf course throughout the park.

We stumbled upon this little beach bar when staying at the Double Tree (dog-friendly) hotel across the street. Realized that The Growler had been listed on Bring Fido for Emerald Isle, but not Atlantic Beach. Both locations are very accommodating to all pups! This is laid back and very casual, but an easy place to enjoy a craft beer or wine while giving your pup an outing.

Very laid back, with good seafood fare. However, it was a bit disorganized when we ate here. It may just have been situational for that day. The staff were very friendly and willing to accommodate our greyhound. We sat on an uncovered deck with great views of the harbor.

Enjoy seated wine tastings with your leashed pup at this very dog-friendly winery. Lots of indoor or outdoor seating options. Mostly wines, but also have some beer and cider options with Mediterranean-style small plate food offerings. Well worth a stop!

While the view is great and the lawn is expansive, this winery is definitely more geared towards their wine club members. Dogs are allowed in the lawn area, so if you want shade, your pup will need to be under the table when it’s too windy for umbrellas.

Large, popular facility with lots of outdoor seating for you and your pup.

Small winery with great facilities to accommodate your dog. We enjoyed our drink on the deck in the sun.

A uniquely designed building with mosaic art and horticulture with attractive view of rural countryside nestled in the rolling hills. Very dog friendly and worth the trip of the beaten path to try some good wines!

This well-maintained family- oriented park is an easy on-off to interstate 86. It features a pavilion with picnic tables, benches, playground and porta-potties nearby. There are two trails available for you and your pup. One goes around a fishing pond and the other is part of the local Rails-to-Trails system. Great all-around Park!

Specializing in dry NYS wines on the Seneca Lake Wine Trail. Dogs are always welcome both inside and out. Beautiful outdoor sitting area (both covered and not). Relax and enjoy the views of Seneca Lake while enjoy a tasting or glass of wine on the porch.

Unique building is a entertainment by itself. A downstairs mini pub with a much more expansive area upstairs (if your dog can do stairs). Nice outdoor deck with a gorgeous view of Seneca Lake. Excellent craft beers, limited selection of cider and wine with delicious bar fare. Well worth a stop!

Expansive covered porch overlooking beautiful hidden VA valley.

Wonderful spot to enjoy a warm spring evening meal. Great menu selections and people watching as the crowds stroll past on this downtown walking mall.

If you enjoy walks with your dog in nature, this is the place you're looking for. Extensive selection of trails with varying degrees of challenge levels and length...take your pick! Restroom facilities are clean, well maintained, and easily accessible. Park website offers valuable information, as well as a downloadable map of the trails.

Beautiful grounds with a dog friendly expansive deck overlooking vineyards and the Blue Ridge Mountains. They also let our dog into the tasting room. A very relaxing hangout with several delicious wines to sample.

Historic battlefield with marked trails. Dog friendly. Learn and exercise with your dog pal.
This is an easy rails-to-trails path to take your dog on with multiple entry points and lots of dog-friendly amenities (waste pickup bag dispensers at several locations on the trail along with garbage cans, drinking fountains for both you and your pup at each end of the route, and access to the Warrenton Dog Park at the in town trailhead). Each entry point has a well displayed map showing your location along the trail. Plenty of shade along the trail so you and pup won’t get too overheated. An enjoyable three mile (round trip) walk!

Plenty of regular indoor seating and nice outdoor patio seating for you and your pup. (Don’t be fooled by the tables on the front sidewalk - much bigger patio out back. ) Limited menu available but enjoyed what we had. Recommend the fried chicken sandwich and especially the tater tots! The bar offers good quality craft beers, with local wine and cider offerings, too. It should be noted that this brew house is no longer associated with a BBQ place next door, as it closed down. It was a peaceful rest stop for us on our travels with our dog! We recommend it for you and yours.
