  Very accommodating to dogs!

  Such a good outdoor dining spot that lets you bring your dog! The table next to us has their dog bed, toys, etc and everyone loved petting the pups. Will definitely be back!

  I was visiting my father from out of town and had my dog with me and we were struggling to find somewhere we could go. I am so grateful we found this place. The Sterling Tavern was wonderful! It’s a local family run business. the staff was so friendly and accommodating. provided a bowl of ice water for my pup and many staff went out of their way to say hi to us and the pup to make sure we were doing well. the food was great! the clam chowder was amazing: a homemade family recipe- the owner’s grandmother’s. there was good music playing and a Grateful Dead vibe of positive energy. I highly recommend this place and I know I am looking forward to my next visit!

  Great pit stop for road trip

  Great place to stop. They love dogs there. Also great food for humans. Stopped in Jan and they were screened in. Evan have our dog treats and water. Great experience!

  Great even in the winter

  The food was delicious and served quickly. The best part is that the outdoor patio is covered and has heat lamps. 10/10 for both pup and owner.

  Very welcoming. We sat on the covered patio. Large fans kept it comfortable. They brought our dog a big bowl of ice water. Our food was amazing also. Highly recommend

  Great spot!

  Wonderful patio for an afternoon lunch with our pup. The food was very good and they have a variety of beer, wine and cocktails. The staff was very friendly and we would definitely recommend The Sterling Tavern.

  the ale house is permanently closed. the new business is very dog friendly it’s called Sterling Tavern is also dog friendly with very good food
