  Great food and happy dog

  Enjoyed the food and friendly staff at this restaurant. It was super appreciated to be out of the wind and seated inside in the back room.

  We called to make sure Cafe Castro would allow our well-behaved, 15 year old Maltipoo to dine with us, as the weather had been windy & cold causing the back patio area to be closed. They said yes! We were lead to a back room with several tables. One of the owners asked if he could bring some water for our fur baby so we felt very comfortable. We enjoyed the chips, salsa & guacamole with a Santa Fe Pepe Loco and a delicious Sangria. My husband ordered Huevos Rancheros and I had a burrito with ground beef. For me, I found the beef & salsa very spicy which I easily remedied with an order of sour cream. We both enjoyed our dinner and the welcoming atmosphere at Cafe Castro.
