  NOT Dog Friendly

  We love coming here on our trips to Montauk, however this summer we were not fans at all. Don’t get me wrong, the food is great, especially the lobster rolls and clam strips; our problem was the service! Last summer, the atmosphere was fun and laid back with plenty of dogs in the outdoor seating. This summer, we took our pup and we’re treated very poorly. The sign this year says service dogs and emotional support animals only but nothing was said to us. We were seated at a little table for 2 with our 5 month old German shepherd. It was expected that he had to fit under the table which he obviously could not! On top of that, we were seated at the end by the waitress stand and was told that we had to move the dog’s tail so no one would step on it. We asked for water and we’re given one of their very fancy water bowls filled with warm water! (Our dog was not a fan) we ordered a hot dog just for the dog and our waitress told us that we couldn’t feed it to the dog but it had to be placed in a to go container because she couldn’t see us feed it to him and instead she would give him a cracker. This place is known for being dog friendly and even pictures of dogs sitting on the chairs have been posted all over the internet but boy was it NOT dog friendly at all. We honestly would have rather have been turned away because of the dog than have been treated this way. What’s crazy is our pup wasn’t wild or acting up, he was praised by all the tables around us for his excellent behavior as a pup!

  The Best of Everything

  Fresh seafood, great desserts, friendly service. This restaurant is a must stop when in the Hamptons or Montauk. My Rudy was quickly offered a bowl of water with ice & a dog treat. This long time establishment is a total home run, don't miss it.
