    All around amazing!

This restaurant was fantastic! They made the best accommodations for our pup and gave him lots of love and attention!

To top that, the food was to die for. Everything we got was so delicious!! 10/10 would go back with my pup!

    Minimal Seating

So they only have about 6 tables outside for people with dogs.

So that's nice and the portions of food are huge which is a bonus

However, the seating is just not desirable. You're rather close by your neighbors. And our table was practically in the parking lot. Which was dangerous for even a well-behaved dog.

It's just not that great for dogs if just people great! but not many outdoor (dog) tables, closely located and some IN the parking lot are a shopper beware.

    Nice patio

I took my chihuahua for breakfast on the patio. He likes to bark and the servers were nice about it. The food is good and it’s on of the few places in the area that’s open for breakfast. They also have a little shop with assorted jellies to purchase. They didn’t have dog bowls or treats, but they do have a dog menu. Dogs are only allowed on the patio.

    Rude, condescending tone

My husband and I have enjoyed several trips to the area with our two dogs and we always look forward to a day of hiking and shopping in Highland with a fun lunch at Blue Bike. In January, we took on a third rescue dog who is still learning his manners. When we went to Blue Bike this year we went in the middle of the afternoon thinking it would be less busy. As we walked up, we were surprised to see that only one outside table was available and there were dogs at all the other tables. As we squeezed through to get to the open table, our rescue started to bark at another dog, who started barking back in turn. This got all the dogs barking, yours, mine and ours. Now I am always careful to remove my dogs if they don't settle into a situation pretty quickly, so I'm always prepared to leave if necessary. What I wasn't prepared for was the condescending tone of the waiter who asked us to leave, before my husband had even made it to his seat. I'm not upset that we had to leave, that part I understand. It's the rude, condescending tone that will keep me from going back, with or without my dogs. I would have thought a place that caters to dogs would be experienced enough to handle the situation more gracefully. We ended up ordering overpriced pizza at another establishment. Unfortunately, the experience has made me rethink how I feel about Highlands.

Great food and cute doggie menu

First off, they are dog friendly and that is fantastic for us when we travel as we take them everywhere and it is hard to find places that accommodate them. They even have a doggie menu and bring out dog bowls.

My wife got a burger and customized it with pimento, my daughter got the cinnamon roll pancakes, and I got the tenders and french toast. My wife really liked her burger as did my daughter with her pancake. I was not sure on order the tenders and toast since it was a play on chicken and waffles and I am a snob when it comes to that as I cannot stand when it comes with tenders instead of actual fried chicken. But their tenders are absolutely fantastic. The french toast unfortunately was not for me. It wasn't terrible but the taste just wasn't my preference as the whipped honey and butter had an odd almost bourbon like taste. I am sure a lot of people would like that, but no me (so not going to knock them on that).

Bonus points for the Atlanta United Flag behind the counter.

    Great food with Doggy menu!

Great breakfast food with a menu just for your pup! Mars and Sagan enjoyed their all beef patties. Outdoor seating and bowls are bought out to accommodate the dogs. Pawsome service!

    My dog was celebrated here!

Clementine the 5 month old Aussie and her bestie Archie the 1 year old Dachshund were greeted, treated, served cool water in pristine bowls (I’m a stickler for public water bowls but these were clearly cleaned as well as my own dishes which I thoroughly appreciated) while we went over the dog menu to choose between dog burgers, tenders, bacon, or doggy ice cream for their brunch on the town today! The kindness and respect displayed towards my dogs by staff on a busy day where they could easily have been seen as a nuisance warmed my heart and strengthened my faith in humanity.

The food? the food is what dreams are made of. I will be having dreams of the pancakes, biscuits and gravy until I go back and get more. As far as atmosphere, I love how their set up allows the outdoor seating to feel connected with the restaurant (and their wall paper is to die for) but my favorite part is the quirky coffee mug collection. Additionally, this cafe is located next door to a dog spa and just around the block from a pet boutique, so the location could not be better for pet owners. We can’t wait to go back!
