  Excellent food, excellent ambiance, excellent for pups!

  Izanami has a wonderful partially-enclosed and heated outdoor area for dining that permits well-behaved pups. Our Luna was provided with a water bowl and her own blanket to lay on while we dined on fantastic small-plates. This is one of the rare fine-dining experiences we were thrilled to share with our girl. Highly recommend if in the Santa Fe area.

  Beautiful setting

  in the foothills above Santa Fe, this is a unique dining experience. Floofs are accepted in the outdoor space but there are no water bowls or extras for four-leggers. The food was outstanding. The lower parking lot is preferred with stairs going up to the restaurant or a shuttle will deliver you to the entrance - not sure about the pet policy for the van. There are 91 wide steps through a beautifully landscaped hillside if you choose to walk. Reservations accepted with a preference available for the outdoor patio.

  Loved it!

  Very special place...serene and beautiful setting, delicious food and very welcoming to my boy, Griffin (he got cookies and water). Highly recommend!

  Amazing Dinner and Experience

  We loved being able to visit Izanami on our stay in Santa Fe. Dogs welcome on the patio. The food was amazing - think Japanese tapas - the scenery was very calm, and the service was great. We highly recommend this as a date-night activity. You can even pair it with a dog-friendly private hot tub/sauna experience at the Ten Thousand Waves spa (dogs not allowed for spa treatments, i.e. massages, but welcome in the private hot tubs).

  Upscale and good food

  we are soooo happy to have found this place. a beautiful upscale restaurant with excellent service and food with is dog friendly. can’t wait to return and try other things on the menu.
