- JamieJul. 22, 2020Super Dog Friendly!
We had dinner her and it was delicious. We sat out on the patio with our pooch and didn’t have any issues. Everyone was very friendly towards us and our pooch.

Loved our experience. Sat in the corner of the patio which was great for our 2 dogs (and everyone else). Server brought us water for the pups and were very kind. Food was delicious as well!
- CollinMar. 4, 2019Great service, great food.
Sat on patio underneath heaters. Very comfortable and pleasant even in earlier March. Hostess and server very friendly. Brought two cups of water for dogs without asking. Service was prompt and friendly. Food and cocktails were great. Worked out perfect even with two large 1 year old Golden Retrievers still in social training.

This place was a nice place to go eat dinner. Tjat sat us on the patio and brought my dog water. They had no problems with my dog in my lap. The food is good too. I had their clam chowder and their halibut. Both were very good. I would go again and highly recommend this place. The patio is small so make reservations.

We have no complaints. Dog was welcome, food was good.
- CatnessMore than a year agoCustomer's Fault
This was a fantastic restaurant to bring my Shih Tsu but read the comments from "Dogs do Not Belong on a Chair" and look at the rating drop after that. It's a shame that one customer can ruin a lovely experience for the rest of us and our poor dogs.
- MattMore than a year agoDon't expect much...
No treats or bowls given. At all. Servers aren't very friendly and management makes them do the dirty work of telling customers that dogs cannot be on your lap or on chairs. They must remain on the ground...which is understandable however THAT should come from management themselves. NOT to have the server show up at your table saying "my manager said the dog has to be on the ground". Basically twirling her finger in her hair and chewing gum at the same time.

My husband, dog and I had a wonderful dinner! Upon our arrival we were given ice cold water for us as well as our dog! Food was delicious ! Lobster Macaroni and Cheese is finger licking good!

Nice location and no issues with my dogs being with me at a table on the patio, however when I asked if they could provide a bowl of water for the dogs the waitress tried to sell me a bottle of water, then said she didn't think they had dog bowls, but indicated somewhat reluctantly she would see what she could do, however came up with zero on behalf of the dogs. So not sure what has happened to the bacon-dog treat bearing staff! I was also told my smaller dog couldn't sit on my lap, not a huge deal but The manner in which I was told was somewhat curt. Other guests there were lovely and all wanted to meet my 2 guys.

I'm
Impressed. Great patio space. My large dogs were very comfortable while my boyfriend & I enjoyed a delicious affordable seafood dish. Almost every table on patio had a dog. I recommend!! - Cynthia RowleyMore than a year agoResponse
My dogs sit on chairs on outside dog friendly restaurants everywhere we go. You we the only one that asked us to remove ours in 4 years. We always sit a blanket underneath them. I raised 5 children. My dogs are cleaner, have far less diseases and are more well behaved than my children ever were or could be. My children threw up on tables and slobbered all over them. I'm sure they were coming down with colds and the Flu and infected unsuspecting customers many times over. Children play and crawl on the ground all the time, so with all due respect, I feel your argument is unfounded. Secondly; we found the food to be 50/50. Some of it was very good while some of it we feel was not up to par. This board is about dog friendly restaurants and we feel yours was NOT one of them.

Cynthia, sorry to hurt your feelings but dogs (and I own two) do not belong on chairs -- especially those in public! How would you like to sit in a chair after a dog sat in it and that dog had just walked through mud and dog sh--. Not to mention the hair that they leave behind. Your rating of a one and your accompanying explanation makes this a five in my book -- it shows that the place keeps dogs and people in their proper and respective places!
- CynthiaMore than a year agoNot that Friendly!!
We saw the picture of a dog sitting on the chair and thought, "wow...this is perfect as we have very tiny, very well behaved dogs and always put them in the chairs beside us". On our 4th visit the manager kicked our tiny very well behaved cutties off the chairs and told us to put them on the ground. It ruined our breakfast and so we will never go back.

Another reviewer mentioned they brought actual bacon for their doggie. When I asked if they had any dog treats was told they had none but I could "Order" a chicken breast off the menu
- SteveMore than a year agoGreat place
After walking the beach and pier all day, New and the dogs were thirsty! Sat on the patio across from the beach, had a few beers(me) and they brought water and bacon for the dogs! Great service for all!

The Fishhouse was our first stop in Santa Barbara. We sat on the patio and enjoyed an amazing lobster lunch. The staff was super pet friendly and our "Mochi" was treated very well. We plan on returning in the next couple of months!!! I have to say this place had the friendliest servers
