Sam was our waiter and very attentive to our needs (puppy included). Food and atmosphere were awesome. Girlfriend loved parmesan scallops and grouper was best plate I've had on the island.

Very nice location. My Chi got a huge bowl of ice water. She was very happy, wagging tail like crazy. Food was excellent. The bread was awesome. I enjoyed the pasta primavera with shrimp yum! Highly recommend. They offer military discount also. Very nice,I will return.
- SoniaMay 25, 2021Best dog-friendly restaurant in Hilton Head!
This is by far the best dog-friendly restaurant we've been to in Hilton Head on this trip! Great outdoor set. Great food. Great service.

Nice big open backyard with partial view of the marsh. Some tables are open with only umbrellas, other are under cover with fans or ceiling heaters depending on the weather. Nice and quite.

Really disappointing, great location and outdoor patio but service awful, no water offered our dog, food average. This is our 2nd and last try for this place

This was our second visit to Black Marline and the whole experience was so good I wanted to be sure I let people know,. The restaurant is very dog friendly and offered a dog bowl of water right away. We had a reservation and we're seated right on time on a night when there was a line to be seated. The food is terrific, leaning to seafood and everything was delicious. Our pup was popular with other guests who came to say hello. We definitely give our highest praise for such a fine dog friendly restaurant.
- MaeMay 18, 2019Great Lunch Spot
We made this our first stop on the island while we waited for our check-in time. It is right over the bridge and a quick and easy stop while getting on or off the island. They were super nice to our dogs and brought out water right away. They make a great Bloody Mary and the sushi salad is delicious.

The food here was fantastic. We were given a comfortable seat on the patio with a view. Our dog was brought a bowl of cold water and the staff all greeted him warmly.

They tucked us away with our 100 pound dog and gave home a huge bowl of water . Happy hour drinks were great. Food was good. Like this place a lot

We are here one night on the patio with our dog. Staff is nice but not very attentive. Food was okay. No one in our family loved their meal.
- StephanieMore than a year agoEarly bird dinner
What a great menu! Well menus. They have the regular menu, the menu of the day, the drink menu and the early bird. Some not typical items for a waterfront bar, very impressed. They gave us a nice table near the garden so our dogs didn't have to be in the middle of everything and brought a big bowl of water. Very dog friendly!

We stopped here as we heard this restaurant was the best for bringing your dog out to the back deck. Boy were we right! Had the best crab legs I've ever had in my life. Our dog Deezy enjoyed water provided and treats! You must go! We will be back!!!

Awesome place to eat and bring your dog. Great food and they really seem to love the dogs. They brought our dog a water and ice bowl, and then came over with a dog biscuit! It is hard to find. It is almost located under the bridge before the toll booth (going out of Hilton Head). If you go to the toll booth on accident and tell them what you did, they will charge you $1.25 turn-around fee and they will give you directions to the restaurant. Well worth the $1.25!

Food and service was amazing! Atmosphere relaxed and casual. Chauncey, our Corgi felt right at home as friendly patrons stopped to rub his belly. Planning another dinner there before we return home.
- SethMore than a year agoPerfect patio for doggy dining
The Black Marlin has a very spacious outdoor patio with several tables to choose from with plenty of sun and shade. There is plenty of room under and between tables so that our dogs were comfortable and we didn't have to worry about them being underfoot. The staff went to extra lengths to make our two dogs feel welcome including a large bowl of water with ice cubes. The manager stopped by to give them a pet. The location was great on the intercostal and the food was excellent.
- AmandaMore than a year agoPet and Owner Friendly!
Plenty of outdoor seating with room for doggies to hang out. The server brought out a huge bowl of ice water for our dogs and refilled when it was getting low. Food is delicious and reasonably priced for good seafood. The vibe outside is very casual and laid-back with a couple bars on the same deck.
- AkilaMore than a year agoAwesome food and love dogs!
Like many restaurants in Hilton Head, the Black Marlin has a beautiful outdoor seating space under huge trees and an outside bar. Dogs are welcome outside and, on the night we were there, there were 4 or 5 dogs with their owners. The waitresses kept coming up to our dogs, petting them, and ensuring that their water was fresh. The seating area is quite big so we never felt like our dogs were going to be stepped on or in the way of other people.
The food was excellent. My husband had their special which was tilefish with a lump crab and mango salsa and yucca puree, and my pasta primavera was cooked in a shitake mushroom broth with goat cheese on top. Dinner can be quite pricey but they have a good deal in the Captain's Menu: $25 for 3 courses. Highly recommend this restaurant as a great pet-friendly and human-friendly option.
