NOT dog friendly for a solo traveler!
First off, let me say this is indeed one of the best pizzas I have EVER had. I had the Icarus and it was fabulous! However, I ended up getting it Togo because I felt very uncomfortable there with my dog. I got to the front door and noticed that you had to order from the counter inside, then they would deliver your order to your seat. All fine and dandy- I don’t have any issue with doing that. However, you can’t bring your dog in with you to order. I am a solo traveler with an 85# 8 month old pup. I cannot simply tie him to a gate while I go inside to order. I called the number on the front door and the woman who answered suggested I tie him up and come in. In Minneapolis, we don’t tie things up or they get stolen, so my pup has never been tied up to a post outside. I have no idea what type of disturbance he would cause, so that option was out! I was told I could go around to the patio and call my order in from there. Went around back and there was a “do not enter” sign on the gate and I could not locate an outside handle. Went back around to the covered patio and waited for someone to notice me. Finally, the same server let me in a mysterious side door in the covered patio, and brought me out to the porch. I called in my order from the porch, and settled in to wait. There was another friendly family with a dog eating their dinner back with us. Suddenly, my dog leapt up and squealed in alarm. It was then that I noticed the bees flitting around all over the delicious looking pizzas on the table next to us. Houseflies and bees were hovering everywhere. I decided to head back to our Airbnb, drop off my pup and come back to get my pizza Togo. So glad I did, because it was indeed an amazing pizza and I enjoyed every bite back at the house.
Maybe if I had had another person with me to hold my dog while I went inside to place my order, this would have been a better experience. But, I still don’t think I would have been comfortable eating on the patio with the hungry bees and black flies. My advice - get it to go!!!!
