totally what the one before me said. awkward and unwelcoming so I didn’t even stay past waiting in line for her to ask if it was a service animal. then said wait outside and a server would take your order, and even then no seats. don’t go!
- HannahSep. 20, 2021Awkward place to bring a dog
Just because they allow a dog on their patio does not make this place dog friendly… they make it as uncomfortable for dog owners as possible. You have to order inside which means if you bring your dog you can’t go inside to order. I had to stand outside the door and talk to the man behind the counter who brought me a menu outside that I had to stand and read (he wouldn’t seat me until I placed my order) then I had to yell my order to him through the doorway and payment was awkward. Their seating is all shared tables so pray you’re seated with friendly dogs. Lastly they did not bring my dog a water dish so I gave him my plastic water cup. I went here because they had such a high rating for dog friendly even though the comments say half the things I did. The burger was dry, I don’t get what the hype was. Go to a place that actually enjoys dogs and dog owners!

I was traveling through Flagstaff with my dog. I needed a place I could eat and bring my dog. Diablo Burger was perfect. I was seated, my dog given water (which he needed) and got my burger… amazing burger! friendly staff and nice ambiance. would recommend and will return next time I’m in Flagstaff!

Due to the weird way in which you enter the restaurant to order food, we got lost trying to find the way "in" for almost 15 minutes. If you are solo traveling don't bring your dog
- ChristinaAug. 5, 2019Good Food But not The Easiest With Dogs
Enjoyed our food. Staff was friendly and helpful. They don’t have ice, so that was a little bit of a bummer since we like our drinks over ice. Dogs were welcome on the patio, but all the tables are long rectangular tables that seat 8-10. We are a family of 4 with 2 dogs so we had to share a table with a group of 3 since the place was pretty busy. Not a huge deal, but it is a bit awkward sharing a table when you have 2 kids and 2 dogs with you.

Have to give Diablo 4 stars just for the food.
Dog-friendly patio is nice but seating is limited.
Orders are placed inside at the counter making it awkward if somebody's eating alone with a dog.
Burger was absolutely outstanding.

The restaurant was hard to find, but, well worth it. The burgers were amazing! They had water bowls for the pooch, and the workers were great. There was another dog that came that made immediate friends with our dog. It was a great lunch!

Great Burger-n-beer! Large long tables perfect for us! Great shade for River (our GS) to enjoy her own burger patty;)

We enjoyed burgers and fries on the covered patio with our Aussie dog on Sept. 17, 2014. Service was friendly and the food very good. Our only wish was for some choice on the wine. They only pour one type of wine--sort of a daily special. The burger would have gone better with a nice Cabernet.

Food was great, beer was great and our puppy loved the doggy treat. Large outside table was perfect for us and our dog. Lot's of shade and room under the table.
- ZenRiderMore than a year agoAMAZING food but be prepared to wait
When it comes to flavor and quality of the burgers, this is far and away one of the best burger restaurants I have EVER visited. The meat was lean and delicious and cooked to perfection. The toppings I selected were fantastic pairings. The fries are seasoned wonderfully and were crispy and tasty. If you have the time, this place is definitely worth the wait. That is the bottom line. This is really good food. The prices are very reasonable for such high quality components.
Diablo falls a little bit short in two areas: seating availability and the wait to place an order. What you need to know is that this is NOT a sit-down and place an order with a waitress type of restaurant. To place an order, you must stand in a line (like in a fast food restaurant) and this line moves terribly slow. Our line was not more than ten parties ahead of us yet it was at least 30 minutes to get to the front of the line so we could place our order. This was really the ONLY dissatisfier for us. It took a really long time to place our order. On the other hand, we did not wait very long for the food to be delivered, so there was some balance, there. The other area where this restaurant struggles is total available seating. They have only a few tables inside and only a few communal-seating tables on the patio. For such a busy place, this seems woefully inadequate. Other diners reported to us that the line can sometimes stretch around the corner and take an hour or more to place an order.
Knowing how long the line takes would not ever stop us from returning to this place. The food was so good, we would definitely wait again. The service staff was all very friendly and really took good care of us and our two dogs (allowed on the patio only).

Dog-friendly patio, great locally sourced food, great service. I just finished a veggie burger and am already craving another.
