Morgan's Tavern Morgan's Tavern is a dog-friendly eatery housed in a historic building in New Bern, NC. Fido is welcome to join you at a table on the outdoor patio. There are salads, soups, seafood, pasta bowls, sandwiches, tacos, steaks, and burgers on the extensive menu. The "Four-Legged Friends Menu" offers a choice of protein with brown rice and broccoli. Pups will want to save room for dessert, which consists of a scoop of ice cream topped with a Milk Bone treat. See Details

Beer Army Burger Company Beer Army Burger Company, located in New Bern, NC, offers a full menu and bar, and specializes in freshly ground, never frozen burgers. Fido is welcome to join you at one of their three small pet-friendly outdoor tables while you enjoy your meal. Start with a cold beer and a Pint of Candied Bacon - a pint glass of bacon strips baked in brown sugar and signature spices. Next, you have to try one of their specialty burgers. The Scout Burger consists of a half pound elk burger topped with garlic, parsley, chive cheddar, pecan smoked bacon, beer battered onion rings, and chipotle bbq sauce. If you're feeling brave, try the Napalm topped with ghost pepper jack, habanero cheddar, jalapenos, bacon, and chipotle mayo! El Tequila When all the cute downtown restaurants were swamped with Seagull and Seafarer campers we had to eat really early, really late, or further afield. This very good Mexican restaurant is on the "drag" - MLK Blvd. a few miles from downtown. Somewhat hard to find, behind a new Harris Teeter grocery store, there were several outside tables under a large overhang. The staff was very friendly. The menu was very extensive. Food was tasty. They have a full espresso and coffee bar where you can get signature drinks like the Hot Chocolate with Chocolate Chip Marshmallows, and Plum Ginger Hibiscus Tea.
