Pets in the Cabin
Pets are only permitted to travel in the cabin if the aircraft is not equipped with a cargo hold.
Pets in Checked Baggage
Animals can travel as checked baggage on some flights with SCAT Airlines. Only 1 pet is permitted to travel in each carrier. Pets are not included in your free baggage allowance and are charged an excess baggage fee between $5-9 per kg including carrier.
For pets traveling as checked baggage, carriers must be strong and clean. They must be well ventilated on at least 3 sides. Additionally, carriers must have handles, should be watertight, and covered in an absorbent material.
Livestock, wild animals, guinea pigs, rodents, bees, and fish are not allowed to travel with SCAT Airlines. Pet owners should feed Fido at least 2 hours before their travel time. Bird cages need to be covered in a sheet during travel.
