  • Pets must be at least 105 days old and must be vaccinated against rabies. Wait 21 days after the vaccination is given to travel to Cyprus.
  • If you are traveling from the U.S., obtain a health certificate from a USDA authorized veterinarian with proof of the rabies vaccination, a written statement of the owner that the animals are not to be sold and a document stating that the animal arrived, either directly or through Cyprus from a third country listed in the health certificate.
  • Travelers from EU countries can obtain a EU Pet Passport instead.
  • The Republic of Cyprus does not allow the following breeds of dogs: Pit Bull Terrier or American Pit Bull, Japanese Tosa or Tosa Inu, Dogo Argentino or Argentinian Mastiff, Fila Brasileiro or Brazilian Mastiff
