We had asked for first floor, but no such luck. The whole place stinks like BO and weed. Room was not clean. friendly enough in welcoming our pets.

Ended up staying here last minute when a different reservation fell through. Price was cheap, and pet rate was great, our room was clean BUT……. The hallway on our floor (2) smelled like weed and DOG POOP! Ugh! And then there was a dog in the room next to us that basically barked all night! I think it’s owner worked nights because the dog seemed to finally stop around 7am! Also the “dog area” outside was a JOKE and the sketchy cars that parked there overnight including a hoarder car creeped me out! There also was a lot of strange things going on - teenage girls in and out of rooms - it all felt very sketchy! We made a RAPID departure out of RAPID City and don’t plan to EVER stay here again.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. However the hallways smelled of cooking all the time. Maybe stovetops in the room are not such a good idea. Dog in the next room kept us up late with the barking. Rooms were noisy.

Very nice place to stay, very clean, and pet friendly. Their pet charge is reasonable. I have stayed there before and will stay there again.

We stayed here for one night on a road trip, it was easy to get to and not expensive. There was a small fee for our dog not being a service animal. There are a few tables and a fire pit out the front, we took two chairs and sat out on the grass outside the front with our dog and drank some
beers while the sun went down (no bar but liquor store next door). Perfect for a little stopover. - PatJul 5, 2022Very nice hotel
We found the My Place Hotel in Rapid City to be clean, well-maintained and very suitable to our needs. There was a nice grassy spot for our dog to do his business, outside doors locked nicely, and the decor was up to date and very nice. Puzzling, though was the kitchenette complete with dish soap and dish towels as there were no kitchen implements of any kind; no dishes, utensils or pots. I wonder if they expect guests to bring all of this themselves? I cannot comment on the continental breakfast as we went out to eat. My only reservation when getting this room was the apparent lack of close by restaurants, but there was a Perkins and a truck stop restaurants close enough by that we didn't have to get on the highway to get to them. Overall we found the hotel most satisfactory.

Nice room, nice staff, nice place. In the future I would look to book a room in other locations through the My Place Hotel chain. Traveled from Minnesota to Idaho and this was by far the nicest place we stayed at a reasonable price.
