Good park but need rules posted

Very good park, a few bad owners. What to do about a small but aggressive rescue pitbull dog, whose young, well meaning owners can't handle.

    Good spot, bad owners

This park could be really nice if it were more strict on the rules. Our pup was there for less than half an hour and was attacked twice. Once was because of a dog possessive over it’s ball and the other wanted to establish dominance (both owners should have known to keep their dogs at home). both owners acted like it was our fault when our dog was docile and minding his own business. the water fountain is also outside of the park which is inconvenient for thirsty dogs. it is fully fenced and the back is lined with trees. only two benches to sit on

    Not ideal for small dogs

the small dog area wasn’t very well kept with tons of mud, some holes and trash. also, owners don’t seem to pick up after their dogs. the large dog area seemed a little bit better kept and had different types of terrain.

    Bad Owners Ruin It

Very hit or miss. Many of the dog owners are good but a few bad ones (aggressive dogs they don't monitor or control, don't pick up after their dogs) ruin it. Dogs that aren't neutered or spayed are not allowed (I would say that more often than not the problem dogs do fall into this category) but if you bring this up to the Parks and Rec office they just tell you to pay to use the Liberty Dog Park instead. Why have rules if you don't even feign at enforcing them?

    Impressed

Always have an amazing time, poop bags available, different terrain makes it interesting, really cool how there's multiple fenced in areas. I was super impressed with the amount of space available. There are also toys galore for pups to pick and choose from. In the spring time there is water provided! LOVE THIS PARK

    Full of mud and

Theres piles of dog poop in multiple spots, hardly any grass, lots of mud. Looks more like a pig pen. Poorly maintained, pile of cigarette butts in the parking lot. No water for dogs. Disgusting.

    Perfect Park!

This park is PERFECT - there's running water provided for dogs to drink at entrance to park, there's poo bags, there's benches, there's an agility area, there's TONS of very tall trees -- it's great! I have no complaints about this dog park at all. I have been here multiple times and each time all owners seemed to be communicating well and keeping tabs on their pups. There is a basic shared understanding of dominance among dogs. There are three separate fenced in areas - agility area, and then the respective small and large dog areas.
