Pure joy in my dogs eyes

My dog loves to run and play here! He truly smiles and I see pure joy in his eyes.

    Great beach for dogs

We visit this beach today, on a Memorial Day weekend. Maybe because of the holiday, there was about 50 dogs at some point, and my dog had an absolute blast. Dogs were off-leash the whole day. We brought some towels and picnic food, and stayed for about 2 hs. There were families with kids, teenagers reading and tanning, and dogs running around and having fun. What I liked most about this beach is that it is somewhat contained by the cliffs and the beach is not too big. I was able to keep an eye on my dog while relaxing.

Great To Let The Dog Run

dogs are allowed off leash up until 10 am and then after 4 pm. doesn’t have the biggest beach area when the tide is high

    Not an off-leash beach

I see comments indicating that Its Beach is OK for off-leash dogs. It is not (the man article is correct, leashes required). Enforcement is spotty but tickets are issued. Mitchell's Cove beach (1/4 mile north at Woodrow Ave is OK off-leash after 4:00PM and before 10:00AM.

    Lived up to its billing!

Made visit there today based on the on line reviews I have read. It was the first beach outing for our 4 1/2 puppy. People, dogs, weather, the entire vibe was great. We will be back!

    Fun in the Sun

I brought my dog here while visiting family in the area. The off-leash beach is nice and people keep it clean (picking up after your pup is a must). The two times I went there were LOTS of dogs for my Australian Cattle dog to play with. It seems like a beach that locals and tourists both enjoy. There is a walking path on the cliffs above the beach down the beautiful coastline for longer, on-leash walks. The biggest down side I found with the beach was that there was no water bowls on the beach itself, however there are showers and water fountains near by. It was a great experience and I would certainly bring my dog there again.
