- MaryaDec 16, 2023Nice little park
We were there in December so public restrooms were closed for the season. Didn’t see a water fountain for dogs, but we only were in one section. There is an area for small dogs, which is always nice.

Cute park. There is an actual dog park there as well (across the street from the playground and zip line). Area is a mature forest. Trails. Somewhat muddy. Dog park is three separate areas for small, large, and all sized dogs. Each area has a PAVED walkway within it, grass, and benches. Shade. Water fountain. Restroom by playground. Interesting fact - the dog park is located where an old zoo and mini train used to be (until approx 1981?).

So we already knew the ground was going to be a muddy mess due to the weather, but due to heavy use it was more muddy then expected. the Large dog park is mostly dirt from what we could tell. So when we come back we will pack extra towels.
Because the dog park used to be several other things (there is a sign about the place’s history) there is almost a perfect loop that is paved which was nice for the humans.
It is a fairly large area so we where able to get some good sprinting to tire out our pup.
The trash hadn’t been taken out and the sign for the water being shut off wasn’t immediately noticeable (I honestly didn’t see it until we left because it had faded) - ShannonOct 23, 2021Fantastic Park
we had to add some time to our drive to visit this park, but it was worth it. Nice dog areas (small, large, and community so the dog who came to play off-leash but wasn’t great with other dogs used the community area and everyone stayed safe and got exercise). the areas were well-maintained and have some shade and objects for dogs to check out.
Bonus for our family - there is a playground a short distance away so the hubby took the kids to the playground and I brought our dogs to the small dog park. There were lots of people out walking their leashes dogs on the trails as well - a beautiful area! - SusanSep 26, 2020Very nice park!
We stopped on our way home for a doggy break--very nice dog park and great hiking trails. We will stop here again.

I went to this dog park because our dog park is closed for re-seeding and we LOVE it! It is so much fun with a section for small dogs, big dogs, and a mixed dog section!
