  LOVED OUR DAY HERE

  The doggos and I loved this gem! Everyone was so friendly and the trail was so pretty! There is a nice 3.1 mile trail to walk the dogs with plenty of shade, an observation area, and bridges to cross over. There is a souvenir shop that sells cool books and drinks, and great dock as well! They do offer guided tours so will be doing one of those next!

  Great camping experience

  I loved how dog friendly this place was. when I checked in I asked if it was ok for me to bring my dog in with me bc I didn’t want to leave him in the car. They told me sure and that he could even go into the museum if we wanted. So friendly. The campsites are close to one another but very nice. The camp hosts friendly and visible, as a solo female traveler this was comforting. The bathrooms were four individual rooms to a building complete with a shower and toilet and tons of space. I was so happy I could bring my boy in with me. He is still young and I stress leaving him tied up alone unsupervised. Even for a short time.

  the park had beautiful trails and such a great vibe. we will be back.

  be aware of the raccoons which have zero cares 🤣🤣🤣🤣 or fears and if the wind blows from the inland the biting gnats are HORRIBLE. but this is the case with any coastal location.

  Loved It!

  I was able to take Rocco, my French bulldog on the tour and take great pics of the scenery. It’s a great location!

  Nice park, friendly people. A little bit more busy than I usually like on the trails but it was the first cool day of the fall. I'll definitely be going back.

  Dogs on a leash are allowed in the entire park. There is a 3 mile hiking trail that is great for walking with your dog. There is also a nice picnic area and fishing area. A $5.00 per car parking pass is required.

  Ultimate Pet Friendly Historic Site

  Dogs are allowed in the museum, and on the fort grounds. My oldest dog is crippled and the museum director even offered to let me use their go-cart to drive her around.
