    Delaware Seashore State Park

    Delaware Seashore State Park in Rehoboth Beach, DE, is pet friendly. Fido can join you on the sand and in the surf during select times of the year. From May 1 to September 30, dogs aren't permitted on any swimming or sunbathing beach (areas with lifeguards) but are allowed on non-guarded beaches year-round. Please note your pup cannot enter picnic areas, public buildings, or cabins and cottages. Visit Website

      Beach day!

      Dogs not allowed at the information hub but they will give you map and all the fishing locations are also dog approved. Lots of good sniffing. Not crowded. Easy walking distance from parking. Take your trash with you. Keep dogs on leash. Watch out for prickers in the brush, will get in paws. Delaware coast so watch out for biting flies and little crawlers in the sand. Overall very nice in shade. Bring shade tent and lota of water. Pay ten dollars to park for out of state visiting and five for in state.

      Had an enjoyable day with my two dogs. We drove our truck onto the beach for some surf fishing. It was clean and everyone was spaced
      out enough. Dogs enjoyed it therefore so did I.

      Fido Friendly

      we visited Delaware Seashore State Park over this past Labor Day weekend. We asked the gate attendant where we could be with our dogs. His Response was “here...they can go anywhere you can go” and have our 2 girls doggie bones. What an amazing time my Great Dane and Mini Labradoodle had. They played in the water, dug in the sand met logs of new friend both human and canine alike. We had so much fun with them this Park is amazingly dog friendly and everyone was so nice both to us and our pups.

      Dog Friendly -

      I went to Delaware Seashore State Park last year during labor day weekend and we had a great time. We spent the entire day there with our yorkie-poodle and no one bothered us. Many other pet families were there as well. I think the previous review is unfair b/c it's not talking about the state park beach. His review is based on Dewey Beach / Rehoboth Beach (both which don't allow dogs on the beaches or boardwalk).

      Rehoboth is not dog friendly in summer. Not permitted on beach nor boardwalk at any time. There are more dog friendly dining options here than Dewey B. Go to Dewey Beach to let the pooch free tho.
