Pet Friendly Cape Henlopen State Park
Cape Henlopen State Park Cape Henlopen State Park has many year-round hiking and biking opportunities, and allows leashed dogs on the beach in the summer season. Pets are allowed in the seashore park/beaches all day without limitation of time of day (six miles of dog-friendly fun). Dogs are not permitted on the boardwalk, ocean beach, or any swimming areas designated by the Parks Division as not allowing dogs from May 1 to September 30. See Details
Delaware Seashore State Park Experience a day of fun in the sun at Delaware Seashore State Park where your pup is welcome to join you on the sand and in the surf during select times of the year. From May 1 to September 30, dogs are not permitted on any swimming or sunbathing beach (areas with lifeguards), but are permitted on non-guarded beaches. From October 1 to April 30, dogs are permitted on all beaches. Dogs must always be leashed while in the park throughout the year. See Details
Dewey Beach In Dewey Beach, Delaware, dogs are allowed on the beach before 9:30 am and after 5:30 pm during the summer (mid-May through mid-September). Dogs are allowed on the beach at all times during the day from mid-September to mid-May. You must clean up after your dog at all times, and all dogs must have a Dewey Beach dog license that can be obtained from Town Hall located at 105 Rodney Ave. See Details

Bower's Beach Explore this lovely Magnolia beach with your on-leash pet. A great place to wade or swim. Please keep pets away from neighboring yards. Technically, dogs aren't legally allowed on any Delaware beach from May 1-Sept 30, so keep this in mind if you're planning a trip to the area. See Details
Talley Day Park Talley Day Park features a well-maintained off leash bark park that is fully fenced with separate sections for small and large dogs. There are also wooded trails, a pond, and pathways for Fido to explore. See Details

Iron Hill Dog Park This neighborhood off-leash dog park is known for its friendly community of dog-lovers. The park is fully fenced with separate areas for small and large dogs. See Details
Tidbury Park Great little local park with fishing, trails for hiking, birdwatching and with a large sheltered picnic/bbq area. After a short on-leash stroll you will reach the OFF-leash fenced dog park. The park is broken into two areas -- one for smaller dogs, and one for larger dogs. Dogfish Head Craft Brewery Bring Fido along for the fun as you visit Dogfish Head Craft Brewery. Your friendly, leashed pup is welcome to join you in the tasting room and store as you discover must-have Dogfish Head products. There is even a food truck serving up brats, chowder, and hop pickles during tasting room hours. You can also tour the brewery, your dog will have to hang out with a human in the tasting room while you take your 30-minute tour. If you are hoping to take a tour, it's best to reserve your tickets in advance during the summer season because walk-ins are only welcome if there are available spaces on a tour. See Details

Junction and Breakwater Trail The Junction and Breakwater Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Dewey Beach! Rockford Park Rockford Park is a popular pet-friendly place to bring Fido in Wilmington. The main attraction at this park is Rockford Tower, a 100-year-old water tower. The tower is set among rolling hills, wooded areas, and vistas that are ideal for wandering with your pooch. Brandywine Park Brandywine Park is dog-friendly. Home to the Brandywine Zoo and Baynard Stadium, this historic park has recently been restored and is a beautiful place to hang out with your pooch in the center of Wilmington. Described by locals as their very own Central Park, Fido can join you on the pathways and grassy areas adjacent to the Brandywine River. You can wander around 178 acres of land, including wooded trails, formal gardens, and sculptures. Brandywine Park is open every day of the week from 8am until sunset. See Details
Cape May Lewes Ferry The Cape May Lewes Ferry operates throughout the year, and Fido is welcome to ride for no charge. Dogs are not permitted in the food court areas, but are welcome throughout the rest of the vessel. Ferry terminals on both sides of the bay are also pet-friendly. Cinema by the Surf Take the entire Family to the movies at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand and enjoy a fun family film by the surf. Films, shown during the summer months, start at dusk. Admission is free. Seats are available on a first come first serve basis. Outdoor screenings are pet-friendly.
