Pet Friendly Fenwick Island State Park
Fenwick Island State Park Fenwick Island State Park in Delaware has a nice, uncrowded beach for most of the year. Pets are welcome during the winter months, but prohibited from May 1st to September 30th. The area offers three miles of ocean beaches along with access to the Little Assawoman Bay. The park is home to a World War II-era fire control tower that helped protect the coastline. Boundary markers for areas open or closed to pets will typically be designated by signs posted at the seaward toe of the dune. To access beaches open to pets, use the pedestrian crossings located at designated parking areas. See Details
Pet Friendly James Farm Ecological Preserve
James Farm Ecological Preserve James Farm Ecological Preserve is a pet-friendly attraction in Ocean View, DE. This local ecological preserve is home to hiking trails and a beach on the bay. Bring your pooch along on a leash, as long as they are well-behaved and all mess is cleaned up after. See Details
Viking Golf Small, leashed dogs are welcome to join their owners for a game of mini-golf at Viking Golf on Fenwick Island. While pets are not allowed at the go-kart track or the waterpark on the property, they are welcome on the 19-hole miniature golf course. The course is themed after a battle between Vikings and a two-headed dragon in mythological Scandinavia. Dog owners can spot trolls and read up on facts about Viking history as they stroll the grounds. Large dogs are not allowed on the course. Viking Golf is open daily, weather permitting. See Details
Dogfish Head Craft Brewery Bring Fido along for the fun as you visit the dog-friendly Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in Milton. Your friendly, leashed pup is welcome to join you in the tasting room and store as you discover must-have Dogfish Head products. There is even a food truck serving up brats, chowder, and hop pickles during tasting room hours. You can also tour the brewery, your dog will have to hang out with a human in the tasting room while you take your 30-minute tour. If you are hoping to take a tour, it's best to reserve your tickets in advance during the summer season because walk-ins are only welcome if there are available spaces on a tour. See Details
Killens Pond State Park Killens Pond State Park is pet-friendly. Located in central Delaware adjacent Murderkill River, this 66-acre millpond is a popular recreation area with a water park, picnic areas, and a number of hiking trails for pets and their owners to enjoy. The fee for entering the park between March 1 and November 30 is $4 for in-state visitors and $8 out-of-state. The park is open every day of the week in April through October from 8am to 4pm; and Monday through Friday in November through March from 8am to 4pm. See Details

White Clay Creek State Park White Clay Creek State Park is a dog-friendly destination in Newark, DE. There are over 37 miles of trails in this park that you and Fido can explore, including some interesting pathways around Possum Hill and the Judge Morris Estate, which is a building that dates all the way back to 1790. Within the park, many visitors and their dogs take to Chestnut Hill Trail, a moderately challenging mutli-use trail which leads hikers through heavily forested areas with trickling creeks, and across open meadows. Bellevue State Park Dogs are welcome at Bellevue State Park, an area steeped in rich history that overlooks the Delaware River. Although Fido won't be able to enter the historic buildings located in the park, you can enjoy the fitness track that circles a catch-and-release fishing pond stocked with bass, catfish, and sunfish. Alternatively, you can hike around one of the trails and check out the blossoming gardens. Bellevue State Park is open 8am until 4pm every day of the week from April through October and Monday through Friday from December through February. See Details
Lums Pond State Park Lums Pond State Park is dog-friendly. The Swamp Forest Trail is located within the park and is a hidden gem that should prove Delaware’s worth to avid hikers. This popular trail runs through wetland forests on the edge of Lums Pond, providing a shaded stomp that leads to bridges and boardwalk sections. Although the trail runs adjacent to the water, it’s mostly a walk through the woods, a tranquil escape from hectic day to day life. See Details

Carousel Bark Park Carousel Bark Park is located within Carousel Park & Equestrian Center in Wilmington, DE. Dogs can romp in a large open field and cool off in the pond. Cape May Lewes Ferry The Cape May Lewes Ferry operates throughout the year, and Fido is welcome to ride for no charge. Dogs are not permitted in the food court areas, but are welcome throughout the rest of the vessel. Ferry terminals on both sides of the bay are also pet-friendly. Tidbury Park Great little local park with fishing, trails for hiking, birdwatching and with a large sheltered picnic/bbq area.

After a short on-leash stroll you will reach the OFF-leash fenced dog park. The park is broken into two areas -- one for smaller dogs, and one for larger dogs. Drinking water is available by hand pump.

Broadkill Beach Broadkill Beach is pet-friendly. Dogs must be leashed unless extremely well trained in voice command. Owners must respect other beach-goers and must clean up after their dog and dispose of the waste properly. The general rule is that from May 1-September 30 dogs are not allowed on beaches and boardwalks. Dog owners are reminded to clean up any mess that is left behind. See Details

Cape Henlopen State Park Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes has many year-round hiking and biking opportunities, and allows leashed dogs on the beach in the summer season. Pets are allowed in the seashore park/beaches all day without limitation of time of day (six miles of dog-friendly fun). Dogs are not permitted on the boardwalk, ocean beach, or any swimming areas designated by the Parks Division as not allowing dogs from May 1 to September 30. See Details
Delaware Seashore State Park Experience a day of fun in the sun at Delaware Seashore State Park where your pup is welcome to join you on the sand and in the surf during select times of the year. From May 1 to September 30, dogs are not permitted on any swimming or sunbathing beach (areas with lifeguards), but are permitted on non-guarded beaches. From October 1 to April 30, dogs are permitted on all beaches. Dogs must always be leashed while in the park throughout the year. See Details
Rockford Park Rockford Park is a popular pet-friendly place to bring Fido in Wilmington. The main attraction at this park is Rockford Tower, a 100-year-old water tower. The tower is set among rolling hills, wooded areas, and vistas that are ideal for wandering with your pooch.
