The Market Fair, a homage to the 18th century, is an interesting event at First Heritage State Park with woodworkers and weavers, horners, blacksmiths and brewers, charlatans and shepherds, soldiers, seamstresses, soapmakers all displaying their skills on Dover's historic Green. Located approximately 10 minutes from Smyrna, this 16,000 acre national wildlife refuge along the Delaware Bay. Dogs are welcome at Bombay Hook as long as they remain leashed and are well-behaved around wildlife. There are several, short trails leading to observation towers that look out onto the salt marshes that are dog-friendly.
