State Park: Off Leash Area. Large lake for swimming, very shady, trees and trails. Very Nice

At Lum’s Pond State Park area there’s a really cool dog park where you can walk the dogs down trails with open play areas along a small lake/pond. One of the best features of the off-leash area is how secluded it is away from the main road.

This is a favorite. One of the best we’ve ever been to.

We brought our 8 month old Boxer/Pitt to his first dog park and it was great. A little muddy but he had a blast. There were a few other dogs there and the owners were very responsible, the dogs were nice! The water was clean (its march) and we wore our pup out with a Frisbee and football for about 1.5 hours it the large field by the water. Definitely going back every week!

I love this park for so many reasons: the park is large, the park has a no fishing swimming area for the dogs, there are a few shaded trails, there are no fences, and it usually pretty quiet.

A lot of regulars here that are always welcoming new dog play mates. Lots of area to run, swim, and take a walk. I always recommend here.
