Let Fido off his leash in the cool waters of Lake Michigan. Dogs need to be leashed while on the sand, but can swim free at Norman F. Kruse Park. Photo by @Sexologistmegan.

June 4, 2011 my six month old Lab just before we head to the water. There is a simple beach fence that separates the dog beach from the non dog beach. Great Place will be back for sure!
We were so excited to find the dog beach at Kruse park today! Lots of friendly dogs (and people, too). Sun and surf for dogs.

Kruse Park Dog Beach

Kruse Park Dog Beach is situated at the northern end of the park in Muskegon, MI. The dog-friendly area is marked, so pay close attention to the signs to avoid being ticketed and keep Fido on a leash. Upon arriving, please note there is a 10-foot cliff/steep sand dune when you enter the area. The shoreline offers a refreshing spot where pups can splash and explore the water freely. Call ahead to ensure the beach is open due to erosion issues. Visit Website

Or call (231) 724-4100 or email ann.meisch@shorelinecity.com for more information.
