New Milford (Candlewoof) Dog Park
The park area has two seperate fenced in parks, one park for small dogs, and the other for the larger breeds. An agility course can be found in the large dog section as well. But that's not all, both parks are equipped with free "Poopy Bags", conveniently stationed throughout the park areas.
The park is maintained by New Milford Dog Park volunteers. We hope you'll come visit, enjoy the park, and perhaps consider becoming a New Milford Dog Park.
New Milford Dog Park is a not for profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to providing a safe and secure area for dog owners and their dogs to play and socialize. New Milford Dog Park will promote responsible dog ownership and community education through our events and meetings. Visit Website

Could be a decent dog park, it's definitely not as nice as Newtown or Ridgefield (the gross white resin chairs thrown all over don't give it a very tidy look) Brought my dog here on 3 occasions the last two my dog encountered aggressive dogs and the owners just sit in a big group and let their dogs "show their dominance".....no thanks. I'll take the drive to the many other parks in the area.

We love this park. Just bring water and doggie bags. Everything else provided. Fenced in, shaded, clean park. Just say Candlewoof and our dog is waiting at the front door to go - with the biggest smile! Join the Candewoof Park - non-profit supported by donations. $20 a year - and the dogs can bring their humans too! Enjoy.

We have been bringing our dog nearly every day, and have always been met with friendly dogs (and their people). It's big enough without being too big - you just have to watch the ice in the winter!
