    Nice Beach

Enjoyed the beach dogs can run free but keep an eye on your dog after hours of fun the other night my dog was bit. I had my back turned for a second and there were so many dogs not sure which one bit mine.

    Great for Residents

I love to take my dog here in the summer as it's one of the only beaches in the Seacoast area that dogs are welcome after 5:00pm. Most of the other beaches only allow dogs after 7:00pm.

As a Kittery resident, I am thankful that the town has regulated out-of-town parking. The beach is never overly congested and allows residents as much access as possible, which is awesome in the summer time when the area is flooded with tourists. Sure, its not the best beach in the area, but its sandy and quite spacious at low tide. The beach also features a nature conservation area at the far end, offering views of the Shoals and Nubble Light.

Lazy dog owners ruining beach fro others

The beach is a nice spot, however the onslaught of non-concientious dog owners not picking up after their dogs will most likely result in dogs being banned from the beach. Sad but true.

    Special

This beach may not be the nicest beach in the area, but it is dog friendly and privatly owned, if you are looking to enjoy a good afternoon with your pet and family it is a great place to be, no dog? go to short sands.
