A great place to walk with your dog!

Most of the 1 mile walk through 17 acres is through jungle-like areas, most on an elevated deck. Walk at your own pace and enjoy the tropical atmosphere. The staff were really nice and knowledgeable.

    Great place

Great place to learn about tropical and native plants. Very pretty setting. Nice place to explore with your pups.

    Pretty, but beware poisonous plants

Lots of trails to explore, and plants to see, but beware that there’s lots of well signed poisonous trees everywhere. If it’s wet, they’ll walk through the sap and leaves, which will stick to their paws. (and they’ll lick their paws later)

    Beautiful Place

It’s great to visit these beautiful gardens, and a great cause. They have some of the last freshwater ponds in the Keys that many butterflies and birds visit during migration. Lots of cool plants and trees. Very pretty and saw lots of butterflies. Still rebuilding some areas after the hurricane. The one large pond has lots of turtles and we even seen a box turtle. Nice and shady for a walk with the dogs. Staff are friendly and we and the dogs had a lovely walk around.

    Enchanting

Visited in Jan. 2016. Volunteer staff is friendly and welcoming, dog water bowl and treats are ready. Dogs can join you to watch the informative videos before setting out into the lush gardens. The gardens are natural, jungle-like and your leashed dog is welcome. The Cuban chug boats are fascinating. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Depressing

This place is run down. There were zero flowers when we were there on March 23. Even our dog didn't like it. Don't waste your time or money.
