      A Most Excellent Adventure!

      Captain John is totally amazing, so chockful of history and humor. He personally greeted Lily and told his own pooch at home his the center of his world too! While it was a cold, windy and cloudy evening (no sunset to be seen) the trip was fabulous! Lily (our miniature dachshund) was all bundled up but she enjoyed peeking out at the folks on the boat and through the window. We saw dolphin and wild horses! Definitely a pooch and people perfect trip! (they even have blankets to hand out when it is chilly, so nice!)

      Dog Friendly Fun

      I took my boy on his first boat ride with Amelia River Cruises and it went great! We didn’t have to make any special arrangements, he just walked on with me. I was a little worried because the boat was rocking a bit before we even left and he looked a little nervous. but he settled in fine and seemed fine!

      Excellent and Informative

      Both tour guides/captains were knowledgeable and informative. We heard a lot of good stories, historical facts, area and habitat information. We were very pleased to be able to bring our dog along on the trip. She is an excellent traveler and stayed out of everyone's way. We were very happy with the tour. (Because the Cumberland Island ferry does not allow dogs, we could not do an actual tour of the island. This was the second best option to see the Island). We saw the wild horses, indications of ruins, birds, and an alligator. As a bonus, on the way back we saw dolphins. Thank you for a fun and informative tour.

      awesome funny and informative boat tour. great shaded area for dogs to keep cool.

      Great Trip

      We had a wonderful trip with Capt. Kurt and Mike. We learned lots and everyone, pup included, had a great trip!

      Picture Perfect Night!!

      We took the sunset cruise with our large dog who was welcomed onboard! The Captain was fun to listen to, and we were lucky to see dolphin, and wild horses before the wonderful sunset!
