    King's Park

    Please obey the following rules while enjoying Winnipeg’s off-leash dog areas: Dog owners must be present and within view of their dogs at all times. Aggressive dogs are not allowed in off-leash areas. Dogs must be under voice control while off-leash. Dog owners must have a leash in hand at all times. Female dogs in heat are not allowed in off-leash areas. Holes dug by dogs must be filled by the dog owner. All feces must be picked up by the dog owner and removed or deposited in waste receptacles. All dogs must be licensed in accordance with the City of Winnipeg Responsible Pet Ownership By-law 92/2013. Please call 311 for more information.       Fields for Fido

      One central area (a couple acres) is set aside for off-leash romps. The rest of park and trails require leash, but are extensive, with woodlands, gardens, and paved trails, and all are very well maintained. Tons of parking.
      Be mindful that there are Plenty of other non-dog users (bikes, casual sports, picnics).
      My dog loves swimming in the duck pond - it’s safe, but be adivised, it’s very muddy at the margins, sometimes making for a messy (if amusing) ride home ... bring a towel! ;)

      great spot for Fido

      Beautiful park, beautifully landscaped and well-kept. People pick up after their pups here, and I have yet to see an irresponsible owner. safe, clean, and healthy for your dog.
