This is a huge park. There’s plenty of places to run and roam and there’s also an exercise area for your pup. People are very nice as are their dogs. There is a fenced area for big dogs and a fenced area for small dogs. The only downside is that it does contain pea gravel which could be hard on your pup’s paws and that the garbage cans and the collection bags are located outside the park so make sure you bring your own in unless you wanna walk a lot.

This dog park has a lot of pluses, however it is covered with pea gravel, not grass. That gravel is so hard on my border collie's paws that twice he has torn the pads and has had to go to the vet to have his wounded paws cared for and bandaged. In addition to the pain he has endured recovering, these incidents have cost me several hundred dollars, all told. We won't be going back.

any time a town of any size has a fenced dog park it's a very good thing. I love this dog park my dog loves it even more. I don't rate dog parks with other parks, I rate a dog park on it's own. Any time you can take your dog and let it run while you read a book or even play games with him it's a happy day for your dog and you. This is a great place to take a pet bond and enjoy the time with him.
- HopeMore than a year agoGood, decent size dog park
For such a small town, this is a fairly decent dog park. The description above is perfect. I only rate it 3 bones due to its small size and lack of swimming. I've been to about 40 dog parks in 10 states with my dog and the ones I usually rank 5 bones are between 10-80 acres and have access to lakes, rivers or a beach. While staying in Helena I took my dog here twice and he liked it but after two laps around the park he was bored and ready to go. I will absolutely stop here whenever we are passing through, perfect park to let you pup off leash for a few.
