the dog park itself is far from the parking area and out of view. it can be a little unsafe as I’ve seen some drug addicts in the woods on rare occasions. if your dog likes to swim there is a small pond, a jungle gym. Most times I’ve gone it was pretty empty but other times it’s filled with off leash dogs with no manners so beware.

We love this option of exercise for our dog. However, it is LONG walk back to the dog park, and the small dog side is maybe about an eighth of the size of the large dog side.

we’ve taken our two dogs a few times a week. we like the separate large dog area and if we are there alone just wait a few minutes and another dog of two come to play. so far it’s been a happy experience for us.

The dog park is a bit of a walk from parking lot. Has two areas small & large. Its clean and well kept with supplied waste bags and water for the pups. Benches and some shade for the pet parents. Also has a bathroom near by.
- SkylerMore than a year agoabsolutely terrible
The place was mosquito heaven and it was disgusting not a lot of room for the dogs to roam and very rude people complaining about my dogs breed never going back there again!

This dog park is located within Bluebird Springs Park, do not look for signs to Citrus County Dog Park. The sign pictured is on the gate into the dog park, not visible from the road or parking lot.
The park is free, plenty of parking and restrooms.
The dog portion of the park is a 3-5 minuet walk from the lot. If your dogs are excitable like mine, your leash arm will be longer by the time you get to the entrance gate.
The play areas are well marked, divided for large and small dogs with double gates. Water fountains for humans and furry friends are located within the fenced area. Nice view of the spring from the fenced area.
