Halyburton Park
Halyburton Park in Wilmington, NC is pet friendly. This expansive park features a 1.3-mile nature trail that is paved and mostly shaded. Leashed dogs are welcome to join their owners on this trail for an afternoon stroll. The park also includes a doggie water fountain, picnic areas, and a children's playground.

This park is about a mile and is paved and well maintained. I like to take the dogs there in summer because most of the trail is well shaded from the sun with the surrounding trees.

If you are looking for a nice little trail to walk with your four legged friend, this one is great. Lots of people walking and riding bikes, and many dogs (on leash of course). Nice place, fairly wooded.
