Stopped on way thru town, great walk for me and incredible sniffari for young pup. $5 entry per adult very worth it. Gardens we’re good and there’s a butterfly enclosure too (didn’t take pup thru). Bring water, lots of benches for stopping along the way but no water fountains except maybe at main area.

On the way to the beach, we stopped in Dothan to stretch our legs. The staff was very friendly, there were clean restrooms and vending machines, and they provided poo bags and a trash can at the entrance. The entrance fee was $5/person for non-members.
The gardens were small but beautiful, and there were lots of grassy areas to run around or have a picnic. It was very shady, so the AL heat didn't kill us.
They didn't have water fountains through the gardens, so definitely take some for yourself and your dog.
Overall, great little rest stop. 👍👍

I mean, it wasn’t bad. Very spacious, lots of benches and the plants were labeled. There was a playground for kids which I thought was cool. But the gardens themselves were sub-pat at best. Maybe it’s just what can grow in southern Alabama in late summer, but most plants looked kind of sad. You can bring your dog and they were super chill about it and had poo bags out. As far as bringing your dog it’s 5 bones, but as far as a botanical garden it’s 2. $5 per adult admission, water fountain didn’t work, bathroom and vending machine amenities.

Perfect paths to walk with your buddy on a leash. Plenty of benches to pause at, as well as grassy spaces to spread a blanket for a picnic. The rose garden garden is amazing with perfect blooms and scents. Friendly staff and fellow visitors. Doggy bag dispenser at entry- please pick up after your pet!!

This is the perfect place to take a fur baby for a walk. My little Buddy enjoyed his walk along the Scarecrow Trail. We will definitely be going back again!
