Closed for construction 1/2024
Dog Park Blosser ParkLooks like a great park but unfortunately it is closed as of 1/2024 with no reopen date posted
Great park
SWOSU Bulldogs and Friends Dog ParkGreat park, excellent grass, shady spots too! Red clay where grass is missing, might want to avoid after rains. Agility opportunities in both large and small dog sides. good fence but on busy road. Entrance and parking are actually off small one way alley. Playground on one side, dog parks on other.
Excellent
Grants Dog Parkgreat park, pup got to run, explore and even made friends! parking ok for rv as long as park isn’t busy (requires blocking parking spots). because we travel in rv, parking affects rating.
Great park
Woof Bowl Dog Parklarge area for large dogs, much smaller for the little guys. water and trash cans throughout. looks like it gets muddy after rain but plenty of grass. great parking for large vehicles or rv’s.
Nice park but…
Ida Reed Dog Parkcould be awesome. great grass, agility stuff, even some shade but there is very little to no parking, had to park at a business down the street and walk. definitely a neighborhood park, couple of deep mid holes on small dog side. gate closures were not in good shape making it almost impossible to close.
Adventure with AC
Bass Pro ShopsZiggy loved exploring, a little put off by the fish but really enjoyed the dog stuff upstairs
Great stop for energetic pup
Dothan Area Botanical GardensStopped on way thru town, great walk for me and incredible sniffari for young pup. $5 entry per adult very worth it. Gardens we’re good and there’s a butterfly enclosure too (didn’t take pup thru). Bring water, lots of benches for stopping along the way but no water fountains except maybe at main area.
Very laid back
Red River Brewing CompanyPatio was great for humans and pups. Food and beer were great (draft flight, hatch burger, Reuben). Pup enjoyed sight seeing, fire feature, and occasional snack from strangers.
Great pup outing
Hot Springs National Park Duck Toursloved it! little loud on the road for the pup at first but she settled down once secure in my lap. she loved the water portion though! staff were very welcoming
Great adventure
Garvan Woodland GardensMy small dog loved it, so many things to sniff and see. peacocks, trains, flowers and rocks!
Dog friendly with space for RV parking
Rodeway Inn Wesley ChapelGood motel for a quick layover. Was undergoing renovations at the time, but caused no disturbance. Hot shower. Basic breakfast. Very Dog friendly, plenty of grassy areas. Glad of the spacious parking for an RV.
