It is located five miles east of Ocala in Marion County, southwest of County Road (CR) 314A and south of the Silver River State Park, southwest of the Ocala National Forest. Please respect Florida’s wildlife and use caution while visiting district lands. These are wild animals. For your safety, do not approach or feed any wild animal. The diversity of natural systems provides habitat and feeding areas for wildlife such as gopher tortoise, gray fox, bobcat, black bear, sandhill crane, heron and egret.
