I go 1x per week and like it a lot. People are very friendly. There are 3 separate fenced areas. I like to think of the left area for fetch, middle for social, and right for dogs that want to be more on their own, but that's just my understanding and observation. Only downside is people don't pick up their dog poop.

Huge area with a lot of benches, friendly environment

Great for large breed dogs to really run & get their energy out. No water, need to bring your own. Watch out for feces not everyone picks up their dogs mess.
- SabrinaOct 26, 2021Great park! 3 huge areas to play
This park is great! it offers 3 extra large fenced areas for dogs to play - each at least 3 acres. One has obstacles. They all have benches for people. Everyone is friendly and considerate. It is clean and well maintained. There is no running water, so bring some! This is really a great place for a dog to socialize and get some exercise.

Huge areas for dogs to run, ours had been in the car for quite a long time, so was nice to let them out and stretch.
- JackieAug 30, 2018Essex and River Road are two separate parks
My bulldog loves both. River Road is her favorite free running space and Essex has great trails. Recommend both.
