There are twenty miles of trails along the Gooseberry River, leading to scenic views of waterfalls. The paved trail in the park will lead to the Gitchi Gami State Trail. Dogs are welcome to join their owners at Gooseberry Falls State Park, as long as they are on a leash under six feet and all mess is cleaned up after them. Pet Friendly Elm Creek Park Reserve Dog Off-Leash Area
Elm Creek Park Reserve Dog Off-Leash Area Fido will find more than enough room to play at Elm Creek Park Reserve Dog Off-Leash Area in Champlin, MN. This 29-acre, fenced dog park is in the middle of the gorgeous Elm Creek Reserve. The park features a separate area for small dogs and a fenced wetland pond. A daily or annual pass is required. Jay Cooke State Park Dogs are allowed on a leash under six feet at Jay Cooke State Park in Minnesota. This public park is a paradise for dog walkers, with 50 miles of wooded trails along the river banks and a further 8 miles of paved trails elsewhere in the park. The trails will take you through wooded areas and along the river to great scenic views. Dogs and their owners who visit in the spring will be astonished by the amount of wildflowers in bloom. Cascade River State Park Dogs are welcome to join their owners at Cascade River State Park, where the grand falls are the main attraction. Bring Fido with you to hike the trail that weaves through birch, spruce, and white cedar. Along the way, you'll discover views of Lake Superior, the largest freshwater lake in the world. For dogs who like long walkies, superior Hiking Trail and the North Shore State Trail are accessible from the park. Battle Creek Dog Park Battle Creek Dog Park is a spacious fully-enclosed 35 acres for Fido to enjoy in Maplewood, MN. This plentiful space is free to use and visitors do not need a permit. The park has miles of wooded trails & walking paths, plenty of shaded areas, and two small ponds where your pet can swim. Allow your companion to swim, explore, and play off-leash in this beautiful open area. There is no water at this site (except for the ponds) so visitors should also bring a bottle of drinking water. Battle Creek Regional Park Battle Creek Regional Park is a large dog-friendly open area in Maplewood, MN, which is popular with families and pet owners. Accessible through the parking lot at City of Saint Paul's Battle Creek Recreation Center, this expansive park has a summer aquatic center, pavilion, playground, and paved hiking & biking trails. Allow Fido to accompany you for a family picnic, sports games on the large open field, or take a casual stroll along one of the trails. Minneapolis Airport Off-Leash Dog Park Just south of Highway 62, the Minneapolis Airport Off-Leash Dog Park features year-round fun for you and Fido in 80 acres of mixed open space and paths bordering a large swamp/wetland area. Not all areas are fenced so dogs should have good recall. No permit required. The land is owned by the Metropolitan Airport Commission and borders the airport runways. Since the park not managed by the city, no amenities exist here (including trash receptacles). Bring water and waste bags with you, and please take them when you leave. See Details
