    Go somewhere else

Small, dirty, unkempt, and an overall bad place to take a dog.

    Love the park but...

As others have mentioned, it can get a bit muddy when it's rained a lot but that's to be expected and they've recently seemed to remulch the park making it much better.

My main issue is the lack of shade at the park. I wish there were a few trees for the dogs to sit under as my guy gets very hot in the summer. There's on shade structure with a picnic table under it but that easily gets too crowded with a few dogs and their owners on a rainy/sunny day.

    Much too small

There are some great walking paths at this large park but the county leaders blew it with the enclosed dog park. It is a mulch-covered, gets muddy very quickly, and quite small. It’s a shame that, with so much area available, they didn’t see fit to create a large and beautiful enclosed area for dogs. Maybe someday.

    Caty loves it!

Glasgow Park is beautiful. Basically flat terrain with southern (loblolly) pine and willow oak trees. The entire park is pet-friendly. The dog park offers water fountains. Miles of walking trails.

    Great Park in Fair Weather

I take Cody to the park at least once a week. Unfortunately, Glasgow Park does not keep the dog park up to the same standards as the rest of the park. During wet weather, the dog park turns into a mud pit. I have emailed the New Castle County Department of Parks and Recreation, but no one bothers to respond. My next mission is to call them. Wish me luck.
