We stopped on a Saturday morning with our dog. Great trails with good elevation. There were a lot of dogs on leashes, but we didn’t have trouble with any of them! The park offers a spot for donations as an admission fee to keep everything updated.

I love this trail! It offers some of the best elevation in the area, and plenty of shade for the warmer months. It does tend to be very busy on weekends so it's best enjoyed during the week for plenty of space to hike and explore.

Traveling from California to visit the kids and found this gem. well groomed, shaded and absolutely beautiful. super easy for the small dogs. We did the Cattail Pond Trail to Escarpment Trail.
- JennieJan 18, 2021Disappointed Today
saw 2 people letting dogs soil the trail and just leave it!
then dogs in harnesses that were out of control. I was also pulling aside to let others pass but I can’t say the same courtesy was given to me. And please keep dogs on leash! - AmberJun 3, 2019The Creek Is Our Favorite Part
We’ve always had a great time here! The creek is a great place to cool off. Good exercise for us and the dogs that’s for sure! They have multiple trails (some of which are currently closed due to mud) but they are doing updates and adding wood chips to help with the mud. As a heads up there are snakes present so be observant and stay alert.

CRP is my neighborhood park. Nova, My Rottie, and I like to hike the trailsCedar Brake Trail is very challenging and has a pedestrian entrance 2 blocks from my house. The only negatives are:
1. sometimes the trails are over crowded w people and I am trying to teach Nova good Trail manners which means she sits to the side of the Trail and waits for people to pass by. So when crowded she has to do a lot of sitting
2. no off leash area
3. some people don’t leash their dogs when hiking (as is the law in the City of Dallas) which makes my dog want to run

I love coming here, but today i was frustrated with my visit here. I was told I had to pick up waste of another dog because a worker thought it was my dog's waste. I had already removed my dogs poop from the trail and was already .3 miles from where it happened and this man chased me down and told me I had to go back and remove the rest. I was so confused, went back and this waste wasn't even where my dog had pooped and it was already old. I was really upset, and still at with how it all happened. For all you dog owners take care of your dogs and hopefully this man doesn't make you pick up after someone else.

We went to CRP for the first time today. Enjoyed walking the trails with our dog. Nice weather brought out a lot of people, and many dogs. Nice nature walks.
