    Forever my favorite place

Took the quick hike back to hermits cave and it was great! Took the time to stop and take things in at a couple strategically places benches, saw plenty of dogs on the trail, even a pair of horses! also passed by hermitage mansion on the way, which was cool to see. I normally go back by Valley green to feed the ducks. Wissahickon Valley Park has so much to offer, it’s forever a favorite of mine

    Rugged trails, not for beginners

Rules say to keep dogs on a leash, but I've encountered several off leash dogs. The Wissahickon trails are narrow, have frequent elevation changes and are very rugged, climbing up rocks and over tree roots. I wouldn't bring my small dog, but more athletic dogs seem to enjoy it.
