We decided to stay in Carolina Beach to see something different on way home from Hilton Head(which is extremely dog friendly). We researched Carolina Beach to make sure it was dog friendly but we quickly realized and wasn’t fully dog friendly. When walking to restaurants and boardwalk area there are signs everywhere for no dogs. Even the streets around boardwalk at no dog signs. We had to walk and explore on our own to find entrance to beach that allowed dogs after 5pm. Beach was nice but not anything compared to Hilton Head Island. Happy we experienced a new area but won’t be back.

we drove our jeep out on this beach and let our 11 year old rescue play in the water for the first time. he loved it. very private (it was May, but a cold rainy day). our dog is always leashed (he would swim to Cuba if we let him) but there were signs to have dogs leashed during certain months. had a great time!

We are staying in Carolina Beach with extended family for Spring Break. It is nice to be able to walk the beach with our dog in the mornings (before 9 am) or in the evenings (after 5 pm). It is early in the season, but there is plenty of space for us to wander and explore.

This was Ayame's 1st tril to the beach and she loved it. Everyone was nice and the beach was super clean (March). We stayed in a dog-friendly AirBnB nearby so we could walk to the beach anytime and let her get some energy out. Worked like a charm.
- KerrieAug 4, 2019Great beach after dinner
We enjoyed walking the beach after dinner with Misty. She however did not like the fireworks on Saturday night at a pier south of Lifeguard Station 15, Hamlet entrance.

Carolina Beach just out side of Freeman Park is a beautiful place to take your dog to swim and play. We spent the whole day. Everyone we met (2 and 4 legged) were so friendly. We will definitely go back!
