Description

Parts of Oscar Scherer State Park are dog-friendly! The 1,381-acre park is a great spot to view Florida scrub-jays and enjoy a variety of recreational activities. Leashed and well-behaved dogs are allowed in the campground and visitor recreation areas. Several campsites are not pet-friendly, so dog owners should call ahead before arriving. Pets are not allowed in buildings, on playground equipment, rental canoes, on the swimming beach or in the lake. Admission varies by vehicle occupancy and time of day. Disappointed

The trails that allow dogs are sandy and eroded. Would pick other trails in the area over these
