    Leashed pets are welcome to join their humans throughout many areas of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area in Boulder City, NV. Swim, boat, hike, cycle, camp and fish at America’s first and largest national recreation area. Dogs must be on a leash not exceeding six feet at all times, and humans must clean up after their pets.       bad signage

      Although the Ranger at the check in booth knew we had a dog with us, he didn't mention they are allowed in designated areas only. We were forced to move to a crappier location because the signs were missing or unclear.
