    Ijams Nature Center is a 315-acre pet-friendly area where dogs and their owners can enjoy nature hikes and learn about the animals and plants that surround us. Located in Knoxville, TN, this urban green space features more than 12 miles of natural surface trails for you and Fido to enjoy. You can find your way around the beautiful woodlands, meadows, ponds and more by picking up one of the maps from the visitor center when you arrive. Visit Website

      Absolutely Beautiful!!

      This place is STUNNING and great for the dogs to exercise! Duke (my big dog) was sooo excited he loved the water views! We forgot the waters in the car, so Duke tried to drink the muddy water puddles 😭. Fail on our end. So make sure you bring water!! Mimi (our little dog) LOVED it. She loves crunchy leaves so she was having a blast. The trails are long so you aren’t back to back with people trying to walk, which is what we were scared about because Duke doesn’t like big dogs. (He doesn’t attack he just doesn’t like them) so it was great to find out that duke could be extended all the way on his leash and sniff around! The trails weren’t hard or rocky on the dogs feet either so even the little one was fine and could get around great! The dogs are completely wore out and tired after today, so a great place to go to get your doggo tired!! Overall everyone had fun and next time we will be bringing water 😂

      Breathtaking!

      Absolutely breathtaking views, nice hiking through the woods and on the river. So glad we made this stop!

      Great stop on a long trip

      Amazing stop..great variety in trails..grounds are beautifully kept..even have dog watering station with fresh water fountain. This was a win.

      Great Trails

      Ijams has tons of great trails for everyone. Parts are wooded and shaded while others are paved. Very dog friendly.
