House Mountain State Natural Area
Dogs are welcome at the House Mountain State Natural Area. Designated in 1987, the park consists of 525 acres of land. The area is known for huge sandstone boulders and views from the twin peaks of House Mountain itself. You and Fido can enjoy the wildlife in the area. On a clear day, you may be able to see the Great Smoky Mountains and the upper Unaka Range. The park is open all day, every day.

This hike is shorter in distance, yet is steep and quick to elevate. Path is well kept, easy to follow, and can be rocky at times. Bring water with you!
