Hontoon Island State Park

Hontoon Island State Park is a pet-friendly island in DeLand, FL. You and Fido can only access this park by public ferry or private boat, so your pooch must be have their four sea legs ready. Once you're back on dry land, you can check out the eight miles of trails that weave around the island, including one that leads to Bear Tree Landing, the location of one of the largest oak trees on the Island. Great Walking trails!
We totally enjoyed this quick boat trip to the island. Walking trails were posted very well, clean bathroom and some fresh water bowls out for my furry friends!!!

Very Nice for a day trip.
Very nice place for a day trip. Was peaceful and pretty but too muggy to walk far. Will definitely come back again!
