We love KPPSP! It’s so peaceful here! We have a small dog, so the ALLIGATORS give me a bit of scare, so I carry Colby in his backpack when we hike here. It’s like being in Montana minus the mountains. Views to forever and the sunrise/sunsets/starry skies are amazing. Lots of hiking and wildlife.

This was our puppy's first experience camping. The location is beautiful and very dog friendly. The signs for a nighttime hike that was being promoted made sure to include that well behaved dogs were invited.
There were a lot of positive new experiences for her including so many friendly humans and canines to tents, crows, campfires, coyotes singing, and owls hooting. We had a lovely time with our pup and intend to visit again next month. - MarthaMar 22, 2022Beautiful spot
We went for the first time without our dog and biked around the Prairie. It was winter but nonetheless it was beautiful. There’s more to explore and would go back this time with our dog. There was a ranger on duty who was very helpful and gave us a lot of information about the prairie. Also supposed to be a stunning place to go for stargazing. Beyond this I would suspect that it would be a great place to watch a distant storm. Love to see it in the spring and fall
